It’s always funny how people stand with Orbán without mentioning the part where he gutted Hungary’s courts, muzzled the press, rewrote election laws to keep himself in power, and turned Parliament into a suggestion box. @MikeSwede1 Hungary has the right to leave the EU if they want to. Nobody forced them to apply for membership in 1994. That’s being sovereign. However, since they still want to be part of the EU, they don’t get to pick and choose among the joint EU decisions. Is that hard to understand?

It is their inheritance, whether they like it or not. If the people disappear, so does the culture. You cannot swap those people out for others and keep their culture, just as you cannot replace the photographs of children on their mother's mantelpiece and claim that the family remains the same.
