In The Blacklist S6E4, after that clip Red uses a rat to message Dembe outside. He gives Liz the Pawnbrokers case; the raid yields evidence proving Baldomero never did the armored-truck heist he claimed. Baldomero gets released, then is immediately stabbed and killed on orders from Anunzio Ross. Red becomes the prison's top dog, protects Vontae, and they toast to the win.

Red baits the rat with lunch meat, ties a note (plus a long string of blanket threads) to it, and sends it through the pipes. An outside exterminator traps the rat, sees the “call this number for $10k” note, calls, and Dembe pays up. Dembe attaches a reply in a bottle to the string; Red reels it back in. Classic Reddington ingenuity.

@HauserGenes @lauren_w67 Yeah it's a stretch. Most pest guys would just dump the rat. But a note taped to its back promising $10k is hard to miss, and the cash does the rest. Pure Blacklist logic where Red's schemes somehow always land.
