If you've been following me lately, you know that I talked about being Jesus-curious after Charlie Kirk's memorial. I never expected almost 2 million people to see that. Shawn and I are going to try church tomorrow. But how do you pick a church? People said to pick a good church. I don't even know what that means. I always thought that "church" was inherently good. Charlie's memorial wasn't even a week ago and it feels like ages ago at the same time. I want to feel what I felt during the music again. I want to hear someone talk about Jesus, not shame people like me for not knowing Jesus. I'm honest enough to admit that I'm afraid, I won't even lie. This is absolutely terrifying because I have avoided it for years. So how do we pick? What do we look for? How do you know you're not going to get sucked down the wrong path? What I do know is that I feel compelled to be a part of this.

#poon_mit12 🐶: I want to tell you guys something. At first I kept thinking really hard about whether I should say it or not, because it might make things tense. But the image people have of me is.. the impression of me is that I'm the type of person who is like a chatterbox, right? But I actually think a lot. Lately, I've started to feel like when people don't know what else to tease me about, they just tease me by saying I talk too much or that I don't make any sense. But seriously, I actually do make sense. Sometimes, it's just for the vibe of the show. *starts speaking in English* I have days where I'm just totally exhausted. And to be honest, there are people who are much better at talking than I am, but that specific moment, when that (loud/talkative) image was what people remembered of me. There were people who were telling me to entertain and put on a show, as if I could be an MC. So, I went all out. But it turned out that from the very first day I went to GMMTV, I ended up looking like someone who talks too much. And honestly, deep down, I don't really like that. I feel like, why am I like that? And then I reflect on myself, asking whether I'm really like that or not. But when I think about it, in some parts where I'm comfortable, I really am like that. I do just ramble on and talk a lot but it's not all the time, everyone. Or sometimes people tease me like, 'Hey, can you stop talking yet?' even when I haven't said anything and I'm just sitting quietly. I feel like I don't really like that image people have of me today. But I don't intend to change who I am, either. I'll just think of it as being 100% myself. I just want everyone to understand that, actually, I also have moments where I might be a bit drained, or moments where I don't speak. If there's a day where I'm quiet, I'm totally fine, okay? And also, it feels bad for my own mental health. *starts speaking in English* The thing is, when I'm with my high school friends, I never have this kind of image at all. It wasn't until I came here and on the first day, I was like, 'Yeah, I'll entertain,' thinking deep down that it'd be good if I could become an MC or something. So now I just felt like, 'Why?' Did I mess something up? I'm afraid people will find me annoying, too. I'm actually campaigning for people to stop saying that 'I don't make sense' or that 'I talk too much,' because it can actually make me lose certain types of jobs. The idea that I don't make sense, I really don't like it. I don't want it to be like, 'Oh, when we're out promoting together and you don't know who else to tease, you just pick on Poon.' Whoa, seriously, I am a good kid. When it comes to work, I am incredibly focused.. but right now I have to hurry because I've only got 15 minutes to commute.

Therapist Trey Tucker came on Relatable to talk about anxiety. I asked him, "If you could define anxiety, how would you define it?" Tucker: "Fear of the future. Fear of the unknown. The verse, 'Be still and know that I am God' used to make me so angry. I'm like, God, what do you mean be still? Like, I got a real problem here. I'm in a storm. Why do you want me to just be still? And what I realized is that the word, and I believe it's "Rapha" in the Hebrew, it doesn’t mean just ‘don’t move.’ It means ‘release your grip.’ The idea that I thought that I had control, that was a lie anyway. If I can start to realize like, yes, the circumstances might happen that are negative or I might be in the middle of a battle right now, but if I can loosen my grip and stop white knuckling it, then I can realize that like oh—God is God, not me, and He’s going to take care of me no matter what happens. That really is the solution to anxiety. It’s not changing your circumstances or slapping meds on it.”

Why anybody would expect somebody else to pay for them is beyond me. Even if it was a close friend, I would think about it. If it did not happen often and I didn’t think they were trying to finesse me then I would more than likely do it. It sounds like in this case, the friend does this often and doesn’t pay her back. I have a name for someone like this and it’s a moocher. We will all have a friend like this in our lives and I think there will come a time where we have to decide whether or not this is something we are willing to tolerate. I would never do this to anybody else. If I had dinner plans but not enough money, the solution would be very simple, I would apologize and then cancel. I would y tell them why because that doesn’t matter. What matters is that I don’t have enough and I am not going to put my problems on anybody else. Friend’s like that have a short timespan to actually be a friend. I feel that people who do this are taking advantage and they know exactly what they are doing.

It is not racist to say "I am proud to be white." White people invented civilization and I am proud of that. I don't think I am better than anyone because I am white. I am just honest about the accomplishments of white people and the West. I think it is beautiful. The world is so deeply anti-white that every time a white person expresses self love, it is interpreted as an attack on non-whites. I love myself and my whiteness and I am not ashamed. It only moves forward, but we don't know what we'll face in the future. For me, there's not much opportunity, once it comes I have to seize it. Today is autistic pride day. And there is something special about being able to post a video of me stimming, when even going back a year or two years I could never have done that. My autistic traits are the parts of myself I grew up feeling embarrassed about. I wanted to hide it all away, to blend in and be like everyone else. But no matter how hard I tried, I just wasn’t like everyone else, and trying to be broke me. I don’t think autistic pride means you have to love being autistic. I think autistic pride is about taking back the power from the world and the people that wanted me to hide my autistic self. Learning to love myself as I am, accept myself for who I am, and know that I am autistic and that is okay. It is not good, it is not bad - it just IS. I know I am lucky to be able to discover the authentic me, and feel safe to be myself. I am leaning in to the authentic version of me as fully as I can. Happy #AutisticPrideDay. Know that however you feel about this day is okay.
