Robert Eggers is only 42 & he’s already proven to me that he’s capable of real, boots-on-the-ground filmmaking that harkens back to the ‘70s. Eggers is not of this time, he’s a real director who attends to every detail. The Northman is Exhibit A. Glad Eggers has a new ‘26 release

Robert Eggers is blessing us with a new film this year & I’ll always have a special place for Eggers because of The Northman alone, let alone his other great films. The Northman helped usher me out of COVID & back into the theater. It’s also just a straight-up beautiful film about revenge with some of the best visuals I can remember. Eggers, like Denis Villeneuve, recognizes the importance of visuals when it comes to telling stories through Cinema. I’m ready for more.

The Northman is one of a handful of films that I’ll always remember fondly for ushering me back into theaters after COVID. I saw this in theaters in late April of ‘22, when the world was just getting back on its feet, and it was a great memory. 2026 means new Robert Eggers.

This guy is from Helene NC says they desperately NEED HELP and to please get this message out and pray for them🙏🏼. They are without: ◦Food ◦Water ◦Electricity Gas stations are out and he says it’s literally a war zone. Looting is everywhere and police is only responding to big emergency. Walmart where he worked is flooded out. He says people are not allowed to in to help because they’re afraid the bridge may collapse and the only way is by air. I did hear earlier that the only way to get to the most devastated areas that need help the most is by air. I added 3 of his videos and the last one was posted about an hour ago.
