As he returns to the White House, Donald Trump has said he will relocate 100,000 federal workers out of Washington. He tried this before. Here’s what happened the last time Trump moved federal jobs out of D.C.

I must say he appears very certain about what he is saying.

I heard a talk by Dr Tom Wilson - the Siren Song of Certainty(I'll post below!) - completely changed my perspective. This reminds me of that speech for sure!

Are you “certain” of this?

Dunning-Kruger effect in a sense I was just teaching my 8 year old about this

This man seems certain of his statement

Consider Phlebas but look to Windward.

It sounds circular to claim stupid people in power do stupid things. To be in power means to have the means to take action to achieve desired results, based on what is known at the time. Most actions will have unintended effects. Which the powerful May not consider significant or are worthwhile cost, at least to themselves and their power base. Some may be catastrophic. Or the powerful can cease and perhaps reverse their action. But they won’t if their ideology and their power base demand they continue, or they can’t risk looking weak. Ideology is the most likely cause of wars. Not all wars are unjustified or unnecessary.
