When they arrived, they found a deceased female with a significant head injury outside of the building. The video shows a black male striking the woman's vehicle several times with a hammer. The woman, who is a clerk at the store, then exits the store and attempts to confront the man. The man then approaches her and strikes her in the head with the hammer, causing her to fall to the ground. The man then strikes her six more times before walking away. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. As of 1:45 PM on Thursday, Fort Myers Police has not announced any arrests. MURDER: Detectives have launched a murder investigation after the death of a woman in Leeds as man arrested fights for life Officers were called at 10.25am this morning to a report concerning the welfare of a woman at an address on Foster Square. A woman aged 51 was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A 52-year-old man was taken to hospital in a critical condition. He has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Detectives from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are carrying out extensive enquiries. Whilst we are in the early stages of the investigation, officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death. The woman’s family is being supported by specially trained officers.
