I know most of y’all dig Robert Johnson and the delta blues more, but the gentle fingerpicking Piedmont style of Mississippi John Hurt is my jam. Looking forward to the new documentary this month.

Clapton didn't write "Crossroads." Robert Johnson did, in 1936, and legend says he sold his soul at a crossroads to play it. Cream's Winterland version turned a Delta blues into the template for every rock guitar solo since.
