For a casual fan it was boring. For a solid fan it was boring as well. Why? Because it was a 1 sided dominance. It wasn't even a fight. It literally felt like when I used to fight with my dad as a 9yo! What the haters wont mention that this was a TITLE FIGHT, and they're saying it didn't live up for the expectation and the blame goes to Khamzat! Well, what about the champ? This whole camp he knew Khamzat grappling is elite, and he couldn't adjust, heck, he couldn't stand up most of the fight. This was an absolute case of a beatdown! And the only ONLY reason Khamzat didn't win by TKO or a Submission is because of DDP strength and grit. I would put my whole life that any other fighter in the same class weight would've been submitted or KO’d by the 2nd or 3rd round. Props to DDP for showing heart. Fight was boring cuz it was 1 sided. But to me it showed the difference in CLASS when it comes to MMA!

The fight was epic! It was extremely impressive and fun to watch. All these casual idiots criticizing Khamzat no nothing about fighting. DDP is a very big and strong opponent, it is not easy to control and dominate him for five rounds like that.

One of the best fights I have seen in my life, Khamzat Chimaev, to be honest, is very, very strong, no one can keep up with him. DDP is very strong, physically stronger than Khamzat. Khamzat played with him for five rounds as if he was a puppet. It is unbelievable. DDP, to be honest, was fierce and strong and gave everything he had, but he faced the terrifying hurricane Khamzat Chimaev. What a fighter.

It’s a combat sport, Chimaev showed no initiative to finish the fight or damage Dricus, yes it is impressive he did this to Dricus but it doesn’t mean it’s not boring.

@robwhittakermma Saw you fight at the Luna Park big top and have watched UFC religiously since 1996. Far from a "casual". The fight sucked as a sporting spectacle, and the truth is more likely - that only obsessed MMA nerds saw it otherwise. Grapple-heavy MMA is not exciting.

They cannot be seen attacking the message because that makes them look bad, so they attack the messenger. There will never be an uncontroversial messenger for challenging the structures of power keeping wages low. Secondly, I think my presence at someone who was a waitress… I’m not supposed to be there according to them and I’m not bought. There’s a real class aspect to this. There is a lot of people who think if you don’t make a lot of money, it’s reflective of your intelligence and your capacity as a human being. And of course, I’m a woman and I’m Latina. My mere existence is subversive in the place that is am. I also don’t act in a way that women are supposed to act in a society like this. You’re coming at me crazy, I’m not going to be deferential to you.
