That layer you used after the shadow layer is it like a light layer or you erasing part of the shadow layer?

Yes I'm erasing the shadow layer, I would like the base and shadow have a blending effect and also I'm sculpting the shapes of both so it would look more natural and less like cell shading, I'm not good at words hope I explained it well, my apology🙏🥺
