Tesla Tesla Robotaxi ride two with my nephew. The car struggled to find a place to drop us and just kept circling. Support or the car changed the drop-off location. Circled again, then support got on the line with the car. Then it went for a tight parallel park and almost had it. Backed in, straightened out, then decided no and pulled out of the spot entirely. Support was eventually able to stop the car curbside and we got out.

FSD V14.1 is ready for Banish! Although not quite perfect, V14 is INCREDIBLY good in parking lots. This video showcases how close we are to banish becoming an actual usable feature in our cars. The idea is to have the car route to a curbside drop off and then immediately route to a parking lot destination. That simulates being dropped off at the front of the store and then getting out of the car and the car going to park on its own.

NEW: California Highway Patrol chasing a suspected stolen car when it smashes into a car on the off-ramp and slides through street signs. CHP noticed the car had an expired registration, and after running the license plate, the vehicle came back as stolen. The driver did not stop and led the police through multiple counties on the freeway, driving more than 80 MPH. While trying to exit the freeway, the driver lost control on the off-ramp, hit a car, then slid into the median and destroyed wooden traffic signs. The driver then got out of the car and put his hands up before CHP detained him without resistance.

I keep hearing some people claim Robotaxi cannot drive in heavy rain ... well, here is a video I took of it doing just that and the rain was coming down in sheets ... listen to the rain hitting the car! Oh, after I finished my Robotaxi rides for the day, I then got into my Tesla AI FSD equipped 2025 Model 3 & it drove me about 80 miles back to San Antonio in this kind of rain ... zero disconnects or interventions the entire way home. I think it does pretty well!

The apparent drunk driver can be seen crashing again before exiting his car, along with 2 dogs that jumped out, and trying to run away before jumping over a small fence, falling upon his landing. The suspect then tries to enter a home before police arrive, detain him, and his dogs chase the cop car as they take him away.

Took my first ride in a public Tesla Tesla Robotaxi today in San Francisco. Called it in an alley and the driver intervened after a few minutes of waiting to make a left turn out of the alley. He took a right manually and turned self-driving on again. The robotaxi immediately turned into the same one-way alley which prompted the driver to take over again. He did a u-turn in the alley manually and eventually the robotaxi was able to make the turn into the busy street. To interventions in what was supposed to be a 6-minute ride but took 15 minutes due to traffic. Not the best first ride but that's how it goes sometimes. I'm curious what this experience will be like after Tesla launches the service, especially with the Cybercab where there's no steering wheel or driver.

It sits alongside Supercharger cabinets and an equipment inspection system. The hub finished construction in March. The permit is now closed. Tesla teased this system in early 2025. It is a robotic arm with swappable attachments that vacuums seats and floors, wipes the touchscreen and even grabs items riders leave behind. This solves a real robotaxi problem. A driverless fleet has no driver to clean the car between rides. The cleaning robot is one piece of a fully automated hub. Cars return, get inspected, recharge and get cleaned without a person involved. The car drives itself. Now the hub cleans itself.
