Cleaning, assembly and retail give very different views of how people handle objects. I'd be keen to see the awkward moments preserved too: regrasping, failed insertions and recovery. Those could be some of the most useful frames for a robot.

Excitement about world-action models and robot learning has never been higher — they promise a way to use human egocentric data to train massive robotics models which can provide the “GPT” moment for robotics and unlock general-purpose embodied intelligence. And yet there’s been little concrete demonstration of scaling in robot learning. Dyna Robotics aims to change that, with an in-depth look at how scaling works as they approach 1 million hours of training data. Co-training has become a key part of the recipe for training large robotics models; it means that you mix some proportion of real robot data with other data sources, like simulation or egocentric human video data. This is especially important because robotics data tends to lack diversity which can be somewhat compensated for by the inclusion of these other modalities. For general-purpose robots to be useful, we must be able to teach them new tasks quickly and repurpose them to new roles. But most techniques for teaching robots — even from human demonstrations — take a great deal of new data. The largest fully annotated open egocentric human dataset. Today we're open-sourcing EgoSuite-Open100K with Hugging Face : 100,000 hours of egocentric human data, free for anyone to use. Physical AI has a scaling law of its own now, and its input is human data. That part is settled.
