It's impossible to overstate what Roger Corman did for movies. Mentored everybody, distributed films (foreign and domestic) that would have never been seen in America otherwise, was a great filmmaker in his own right, and by all accounts, a beautiful man

This is my favorite interview with Jack. He totally lets down that persona of being the coolest guy in the room for decades (which he is, obviously) to be completely vulnerable and express the gratitude he has for Corman helping him make his start. Gets me every time. 🥺

Nothing could have ever prepared me to see Nicholson cry because of what Roger Corman meant to him. Absolutely nothing. This doc (Corman’s World, kids) was a revelation & is must see. Roger Corman forever. 🙏🏻

Roger Corman’s impact on cinema is unbelievable and he’ll continue to inspire filmmakers and cinephiles alike for eternity. I’ve been lucky enough to attend a masterclass with him in FANTASPOA and got this poster of “The Trip” (written by Nicholson and directed by him) signed ♥️

I know a little about movies, but not a lot. And even I've noticed the huge number of famous, successful Hollywood directors and actors who began their careers with Corman. This guy was the minor leagues for the Babe Ruths and Shohei Ohtanis of our time.

Wow, I knew Jack (and tons of others) loved and respected Corman, but I don’t know if I’ve ever seen Jack get that authentically emotional. I’ll have to seek out this documentary.
