Florida legislative voting records show Mike Beltran Mike Beltran, a GOP candidate for Congress in Florida’s 14th Congressional District embraced Joe Biden Joe Biden’s open border policies during his time in the Florida Legislature. In 2023, Beltran was the only GOP state representative in the Florida Legislature to vote against SB 6-B, which authorized funds to be used for the purpose of relocating illegal aliens out of Florida, moving them to blue states like California and Massachusetts with sanctuary state laws. The language of the bill clearly states the objective of the legislation, reading: “Transportation of Inspected Unauthorized Aliens; Creating the Unauthorized Alien Transport Program within the Division of Emergency Management to facilitate the transport of inspected unauthorized aliens within the United States; authorizing the division to contract for services to implement the program; authorizing the division to adopt rules to implement the program; providing for future expiration, etc. APPROPRIATION: $10,000,000.” A few months before the vote to continue funding Ron DeSantis Ron DeSantis’ illegal immigration deportation program took place, Joe Biden attacked the policy, saying: “What they’re doing (Ron DeSantis) is simply wrong. It’s un-American, it’s reckless. And we have a process in place to manage migrants at the border. We’re working to make sure it’s safe and orderly and humane. Republican officials should not interfere with that process by waging these political stunts.” It’s also important to note that the Florida Democrat Party stood against the deportation flights, posting: “Floridians are footing the bill for DeSantis' political stunt,’ said FDP Chair Nikki Fried Nikki Fried in an interview with WESH 2 News 2 News about the migrant flights to California orchestrated by DeSantis.” Considering Joe Biden’s disastrous open border record, it’s pretty telling that Beltran voted against continuing deportation flights, even after Biden criticized the program in support of illegal aliens.
