I remember in 1991-2 when Siskel & Ebert were making talk show rounds plugging something. Gene talking of the Doors would say "We talk of Jeremy Irons as Claus von Bulow; imagine if he also had to sing". When he said that on Letterman, Ebert said "Now _that_ would be a movie!"

I used to depend on them for all my movie choices, and even learned their secret code. For instance, if they called an actress's performance "brave" I knew I was gonna see some tiddies!
