a lot of visual identities fall apart the moment you remove the logo. so here’s friendly advice I wish someone drilled into me earlier: run every visual identity through the Three-Post Test. What is it? Design three social media posts in the new visual identity. (btw, you can now easily design and export social media assets directly in Framer) Or, design three posters. (a tip that Jessica Strelioff’s also recently shared!) Then, the important step: remove the logo. Now, look at them like a stranger would. If you’re trying to get out of junior design mode — ask yourself: 1. without the logo, do these three posts still obviously belong together? Follow up with: 2. can I easily point to repeating rules (layout, type behavior, spacing, color logic, ...)? 3. could another designer easily continue this system without me in the room? If you answer 1. no 2. nope 3. uhmmm, not sure then you’re in trouble. If the logo disappears and the connection goes with it, that’s your signal: you don’t have a visual system yet, just three nice visual pieces. maybe a very nice logo, too. So, run this test early, save yourself time later.

I use Flot AI because I’m tired of thinking about prompts. Not because I don’t know how — but because I don’t want to stop my work just to phrase things perfectly. Most AI tools still expect you to: pause, think, rewrite the question, tweak the prompt. Flot AI doesn’t. Okay this is really cool. Codex app has a new feature that is really useful. Highlight any text, and you'll notice a new popup. "More Details" uses GPT 5.5 Instant to explain in more detail about the highlighted portion of your text, allowing you to understand the reasoning/concept/statement/etc in greater detail. What's interesting about this versus a side chat is that it's instantaneous, and still retains context from the thread. With /side chat, you'd have to type out a prompt "what are the details on this?" With "more details" the prompt is implicit and the response is instantenous Very nice feature, as I'm always making side chats/branches to expand/learn/understand agent outputs better.

While building SEV0, I ran into moments where natural language prompting just wasn't enough - too vague, too indirect. So I started using a method that bridges that gap. I call it Bridged Prompting - a technique where you temporarily step out of the prompt-response loop to manipulate something directly using an AI-generated UI, then step back in. Think of it like GenUI, but more user-driven and transient. AI generates a UI on-the-fly, tailored to your prompt, and lets you manipulate the artifact directly before resuming the conversation. Sure, you could build a full tool, switch tabs, wire it up and round-trip your data. But with Bridged Prompting, the AI just spins up a temporary interface right in the flow. In the video below, I used it to construct the hallway system to closely match the layout of the severed floor. This is something I needed to do for this one project, this one time - I didn't need to make a whole separate app. Bridged Prompting lets you: - Make precise edits visually or structurally - "Hit save" to persist changes to local storage or a backend - Return to your natural language prompt
