Catholics do not read the Bible. They instruct their parishioners not to, because they state that only priests can "interpret" it. So they have never read this: "Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven." Matthew 23:9

With his vast knowledge of the Bible I am surprised that he missed this passage: "And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven." Matthew 23:9

Protestants would if they knew their Bible. But they don’t submit to Church authority either so it’s unlikely they would given scripture either.

Because we actually read the Bible and hold it at a high standard. "Father" is not supposed to be a spiritual title, and Jesus warned us to not use it as such.

I love when Catholics use Pauline doctrine to make a point, but then ignore most of what Paul says later.

They quote the Bible but don't read it for context. Odd. Sad.
