Namjoon about Merry Go Round💜 🐨: Next is ‘Merry Go Round,’ and this one is similar to ‘SWIM’ in a lot of ways. They kind of share the same emotional core. 🐨3 Do I still have enough battery? I’m not sure. Maybe I should at least lower the screen brightness… 🐨: Anyway, when we first started working on songs, there was a producer named Sam who came in early on. While we were working and just casually talking, the topic of Tame Impala came up. I told him, ‘I’m such a huge Tame Impala fan. I’ve always wanted to work with him, even during my solo projects but never got the chance.’ Then Sam told me he was actually friends with Tame Impala and had worked with him before. So I don’t know whether this beat was purely Tame Impala’s or if Sam had worked on it together with him, but while listening through tracks, he played me this beat. And I immediately thought ‘Wow, I really love this.’ 🐨: This is another example of how sessions work. I heard the beat, but then I had to leave for another room, so before I left, I asked Aldae — one of the songwriters who contributed a lot to this album, and someone incredibly talented who also worked on songs like Flowers by Miley Cyrus — if he could try writing a melody around the topic of a merry-go-round for this beat. 🐨: Because during military service, and honestly while living as an idol or singer too, every day feels repetitive. You can’t really escape the cycle. If ‘SWIM’ is about hope, then ‘Merry Go Round’ is about the fatigue and despair inside that repetition. 🐨: I told him, ‘I always thought about a merry go round. During the military too, and even living this life, I kept imagining a merry go round I couldn’t get off of.’ 🐨: Then I went to another room for about an hour, and when I came back, Aldae had already completed the melody and lyrics. It was so good. 🐨: I played it for all the members and said, ‘This song really has to make the album. To me, this feels like another “Spring Day.”’ And that’s how it got included. 🐨: It’s a sad song, honestly. Probably the only song on the album that’s openly, unmistakably sad. Aldae wrote the lyrics based on the things I told him. 🐨: I wish that I could tell you that it’s over I wish that I could walk away from pain My life is like a broken roller coaster But maybe I’m the only one to blame” 🐨: Yeah… it’s my fault, right? In the end, everyone feels like their life is their own responsibility. I think that was the emotion behind it.

We end the week on a heartbreaking note. You will remember little RPD Stanley from HMPPS Operational Dogs and HMP Wormwood Scrubs. Stanley has not been well for a while now, and we have been supporting him for the last few months, knowing it would give him more time with his devoted Dad and handler Chris, and his partner Karen. They had a lovely Christmas, but Stan has deteriorated over the last week and yesterday, after a day of no yucky meds, and whatever he wanted to eat, he slipped quietly over rainbow bridge at home - surrounded by familiar smells, love, and cuddles. We’ve got to know Chris and Karen so well and our hearts go out to them both. It’s the worst decision to make, all dog owners know that - but they had to do what was best for him. It would have been Stanley’s 11th birthday today. They decided to let him go yesterday, as Karen said, today may have been his earthly birthday, but instead it’s his Birth Day into his new life, and we rather like that thought. Stan served for 9 and a half years - his finds were legendary. Two particularly memorable discoveries: After a search of one cell under suspicion - with nothing found - Stan kept ‘knocking’ on the next door, and Chris suggested they put him in. He popped onto the top bunk, and immediately put his paws on the wall and stared at the light. When they removed the light fitting, contraband ‘ literally rained down’ on them all.. A huge find. Another search, and Stan was ‘knocking’ round the base of the loo. They looked under at the floor - nothing. But Stan was insistent. He was right, the loo bowl had a false bottom, and there it all was. He always found what he was looking for, and it was only due to ill-health he retired. He was brilliant at his job. Sadly, a long retirement was not meant to be, but what an epic life he led - and what a character he was. Happy Birth Day over rainbow bridge little Stan - you will be missed so much. Sleep well, and thank you for your loyal service. 💜🐾🐾💜

🚨 THIS IS HOW YOU BECOME EXIT LIQUIDITY The system tells you finance has been "democratized." Robinhood, fractional shares, crypto. It's a lie. You've been locked in the room for the poor, while real wealth is generated behind closed doors. Let that sink in: In 1997, Amazon went public at $438 million. Anyone could buy in and catch a 100x return. Today, $438 million is just a modest Series B round for a private AI startup. That's why companies now stay private for 12-14 years instead of 5. By the time they hit the stock market, 99% of the growth is gone. You aren't buying the future. You are buying the bag so VCs can cash out. The system hides behind the hypocrisy of the "accredited investor" rule. To buy SpaceX or Anthropic early, you need $200K income or $1M net worth. That locks out 80% of households. They claim it’s to "protect" you. Yet the same system is fine with you losing everything on meme coins and leveraged gambling. This is not protection. This is gatekeeping. And here’s the part nobody wants to hear: Big Tech no longer needs your money. They have bloated venture capital and internal secondary markets. You get the scraps: tokenized garbage with zero rights at 10-100x the price. Recognize the game. You are not early. You are the exit liquidity. For the record, I accurately predicted the recent $82K BTC bull trap and called short from $111K in October. My next call will be even more important. Turn on notifications. Most people will follow me too late.
