When me and my ex-husband were getting a divorce, I kicked him out of our house and what happened was he was already planning on leaving so the last 2 months he was there he did not pay the rent. And I didn't know that. So the landlord came to me after he left and said that my ex had come to him and told him he was doing this on purpose so that I wouldn't have enough money to keep the house and that I would lose the house. So he asked me, he said if you'll just pay one month's rent I'll let you take over the lease. I paid the three full months. And kept the house. Cuz he had gone through my phone and he saw my bank account had like $13 in it. He didn't see the savings account! 😂 Not to mention my ex-husband was paying my bills for me.
