Love the podcast, but why when Scottish independence comes up does @RoryStewartUK lose his usual balanced approach? He suddenly becomes a democracy denier by failing to acknowledge the mandate of the Scot Govt and SNP MPs, instead pointing to polls to justify his opposition.

Britain is an island not a country . England and Scotland are countries. Brexit was thrust upon Scotland- a fundamental change and our notice should have been given then. Simply either a country or a colony?

As usual, Caroline Lucas talking complete sense, and Tory Rory Stewart talking rubbish. Stewart compares Texas, a state, to Scotland, a nation, then has the temerity to suggest other nations of the UK should have a say in Scotland leaving the union. Classic Tory.

Really disappointing from Rory. Sometimes I think his time in this post-truth conservative government has corrupted his view on certain things. Especially Scottish Independence; where in the Edinburgh Agreement does it mention ‘once in a generation‘?

Does Rory think England is a country ? Will England ask permission from Scotland if it wanted #independence ? Also, all Europe should have voted on Brexit. Cant have it all ways Rory.
