American did an experiment for 23 days to see how long it would take store bought bread to mold - The 1st piece of bread is homemade - The 2nd piece of bread is store bought with water on it - The 3rd piece of bread is normal store bought white bread as a control Here are the results: Homemade bread of course started to mold quickly. The bread with water on it was able to mold after 23 days. The white bread without water is still perfect after 23 days Store bought bread doesn’t mold because of the preservatives and emulsifiers being used to extend shelf life and for that spongy texture Our food is poison
