HBD in Heaven to the mighty @groveydean,1 of the greatest Jazz trumpeters of our time, if not all time. His unique genre defining style is evident in his all time classic "Strasbourg St. Denis". Hope the Angels above R taking special care of this Jazz icon

Happy birthday to Roy Hargrove, born on this day in 1969! A trumpet prodigy whose love for music ignited in Waco’s church gospels and Dallas radio soul, he burst onto the scene at 16 jamming with Wynton Marsalis, blending bebop fire with hip-hop grooves. His Grammy-winning albums like Crusader (1995) and Moment to Moment (2006) showcased lyrical flair and genre-defying fusion, mentoring a new jazz generation until his too-soon passing in 2018.
