Royston talks about a recent DM article about William spending time with friends, and there being 'palace concern' that he's not doing much royal work overseas. Royston's comments are interesting, but not very well thought out. Couple of things... He says William is leaving his celebrity brother an open...

I found Royston's comments quite interesting, like so many other commentators he's managed to place all responsibility of what occurred on William and Catherine's shoulders, as well as suggesting it is their 𝘥𝘶𝘵𝘺 to repair the relationship (meaning 'get over it') So many thoughts.. 🤔 Notice that Royston says Harry 'does talk about a lot of stuff'. And 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 everything H has talked about - what he has said, and how that has impacted his family. Especially William, Catherine and their young children. Then Royston talks about there being times Queen Elizabeth had needed to put the 'national interest' and the 'country's interest' above her feelings as a person, and above the interests as her family. And that King Charles as monarch will need to do the same. But Royston then goes on to say it's in the Royal family's interests to solve their own family problems, and that they are supposed to show 'leadership' in Britain. And that it's not leadership, or healthy, advisable or wise to let conflict escalate and escalate, and that the public think families should be able to resolve conflict. So he's suggesting the family are not fulfilling their role by having 'unresolved' issues with Harry. He said QE had put her family (Andrew) aside for the best interest of the monarchy and nation, but he seems to believe that either KC or PW putting Harry aside (after doing everything he's done) is not in the best interests. Notice the different expectations for each problematic son? (What Royston says next he's previously talked about, when discussing H+Ms work with bullying. That the issues in KP demonstrated H+M's inability to resolve issues) 🤨 I have so many issues with Royston's comments. He says it's not good to have things 'escalate'. But things 𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯'𝘵 escalating now, certainly not by William and Catherine's doing. Grey rocking is working. Royston seems to place responsibly for what happened in those two years (and since then) on William and Catherine, and KP. But we now know there were so many other issues occurring at the same time, that the problems were bigger than simply workplace squabbles. And when you consider 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦 that had happened in the decades 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 and the years 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 2017 - 2019, it's ridiculous to suggest this can be summed up as a 'workplace issue' at KP. I place a lot of responsibility for what happened with Harry and M on QE as monarch, and KC as father. H has had a lifetime of issues, and these were poorly managed by both his family and the monarchy. He is jealous, unstable, bitter and vengeful. And she is a histrionic narcissist. Harry and M were poorly handled, from the start. It should not have been KPs responsibility to manage them or deal with them. Anyone with any awareness of what has transpired over the last 𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 knows what Harry and his wife have done. William and Catherine have wisely set boundaries to protect themselves and their children. It's cruel to suggest they should risk their wellbeing, and what they are building and protecting for the children. William is not his brother's keeper. People need to stop infantilising Harry, who is in his 5th decade. He made his decisions - not every relationship can or should be repaired back to the way it was.

Oh the British Press and Royal Rota are fuming at being blindsided by Prince William🤭 Unlike any Heir before him, Prince William bypassed the national BBC, he bypassed the national ITV; He did not even grant this interview to any of the major British reporters or newspapers. The Palace and their sources did not even know his plans thus, there was no leaks to the Daily Mail..😏 William blindsided everyone and went on the most unlikely platform, the TV show of a Canadian actor and comedian, to discuss give his most important interview to date as Prince of Wales and discuss his plans for the Monarchy and Catherine🔥 There are two topics that William never discussed with the press: his future plans for the Monarchy AND his wife Catherine. Yet today, he discussed protecting his beloved wife and their family; as well as his plans for the institution the monarchy❤️ Apple TV got the call. Not “Fleet Street”; and Fleet Street is reeling. Prince William is very intentional and he sent a clear message to the British press, Royal Rota and palace sources that has been harassing him and his wife at every turn: He is the one in control🔥 He can work with them or find another mean. He decides, not them, not courtiers, Him. He will not be dictated by them or take any marching orders from them. He is not afraid to draw the line and make the changes he sees fit, no matter how tough the decisions🤷🏽‍♀️ This unexpected interview is a preview of what is to come. Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, who was just invited to the state Banquet 2 weeks ago, knows that unlike the CEO of Netflix, he has hit the jackpot with this episode and all that money is going straight to Apple. William does not need the money, he has plenty. What he needed was the platform and Apple and their crew did an excellent job at NOT LEAKING anything until it was time to promote the show👌🏽 The Netflix CEO got two peanuts for millions of dollars; The Apple CEO got an “in” with the Future King himself and he is keeping all the money; a Tale of Kings and court Jesters..🪭 I love this scene posted by Apple TV. Prince William knew he was about to hurt a lot of feelings in the palace and the British Press and he was so relax about it, taking selfies and enjoying a Guinness; A true mastermind at heart😎 As he reiterated confidently: “I take my roles and my responsibilities seriously but it's important you don't feel they own you. You have to own them”🔥 Spoken like a man born to be King☕️ #PrinceWilliamisAKing 📹Apple TV

1. I've seen some pushback from a few monarchists, or possibly fans of KC, who complain that people will never be satisfied, or that people are 'wanting blood', or 'wanted things to change yet are still complaining'. My issue with all this is not only that Andrew was the one to make the statement, and frame it the way he did (including speaking for His Majesty), but also that these changes aren't changes. Not really. Yes, people can explain the semantics of titles and abeyance and wherever else, but what is clear to many people is that nothing more will be, or can be, done. That the 'status' the gave him the opportunity to carry out these immoral (and possibly criminal) decisions and actions cannot be taken away. He was born a prince, born with a place in the LoS, and that will remain. He has status afforded to him that cannot be removed. The rest is just shuffling words around in press releases and conflicting headlines. And because of the very public actions of the Californian celebrities, we know how meaningless it is. 🤷🏻‍♀️ so we're told nothing more can be done. Or doing more involves parliament, which beings some risk for the monarchy. Which means, to protect itself the institution should not push any further. And that we should be satisfied with press releases that suggest change but we know don't actually mean change. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The problem I have is that this goes against my own views and values. About people in senior positions of power in any institution or dynamic, whether it be a family, a local supermarket workplace or a monarchy, using that position to exploit or victimise others. Yes, this is Roya. But most commentators are acknowledging it.
