I worked as an RSO for several years. Foreign countries often have no “gun culture.” They seem to get their gun knowledge from movies and music videos, and are INCREDIBLY dangerous around weapons. You have to hawk over them constantly, lest they shoot themselves.

For anyone complaining about the RSO possibly taking private property: This *specific* situation is likely outlined in the rules that you agree to when becoming a member or signing in. There is no way that a public or private range would be able to operate without that - too much liability. Did you read the rules when signing?

I once went to a swanky shooting range in an Arab country, though I'd never been shooting before. The guy who worked there that was assigned to teach me was also foreign, and was so helpful and took so much time to help me learn to shoot - just the basics on how to handle the gun, how to stand, how to breathe etc. (for many Europeans we are shit scared of guns). The guy said he was happy to actually have someone pay attention and listen to him instead of just rich Arab kids walking in and acting like jerk-offs and spraying AK-47s for photos. You really need to be humble around these places, especially if you are a beginner.

I know that gun ranges post the 4 basic rules of firearms handling. But can these dumb fucks read English? Can't trust them behind the wheel, why dafuq would you trust them with guns?

As long as that’s a rental and not the gentleman’s property I have no problem with this. If it’s his gun you can’t be taking other people’s guns.
