Surveillance video shows a man exiting the Brighton Beach subway station on Aug. 31 around 9:45 a.m., then grabbing an item full of trash and throwing it at 90-year-old woman walking along the sidewalk. Police say the 90-year-old woman was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

NEW: 58-year-old woman, who was on her way to do volunteer work, beaten with a bat by two masked thugs on a NYC street in broad daylight. New York City has a brand. The men were seen jumping the woman, hitting her with a bat five times before running off. According to the woman's sister, she was leaving work at a daycare when the thugs came up from behind. The woman was then sent to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries. She was hit in her head, back and legs. The motive for the attack is unclear considering the thugs didn't steal the woman's purse. Police have not yet found the suspects.

Everything gets dumped together and disposed of as mixed waste anyway.
