I mean, it's like minus 25 degrees and then you attack the energy system. I mean, it's so crazy that only Russians would do such a thing. But this is how Russia is and it will not change. And I think our problem in Ukraine is still that there are still red lines when it comes to the weapons they can use to win this war. And you cannot win a war with the one hand tied on your back. We need to give them weapons so they can strike into Russia. We have had this discussion for several years. We are still discussing it. I mean, for the last three years on this conference, I have said, why are we not providing them the air defense that they need? And everybody is doing like this. They still lack air defense. You cannot protect a country without air defense. That is exactly why support for Ukraine and sufficient pressure on Russia are needed. Ukraine is ready for meetings, but at this point we still do not have firm answers from Russia regarding what has been proposed for next week. So far, we hear nothing but more manipulation around “Oreshnik”. This is certainly not about peace.

So Iuliia Mendel went on Tucker Carlson’s show promising to “reveal the truth” about Zelenskyy — but what she actually argued was that Ukraine should surrender to Russia and has no chance of surviving against a “mighty power.” That’s straight out of the Kremlin playbook. What a f** disgrace. “But I believe that, you know, people need to understand that if you want to support Ukraine, the only way to support Ukraine today is to push for the peace deal. This is the only way that Ukraine can survive, because I believe we are on the verge of extinction. Somebody is talking about two, three years of war anymore. It just, like, doesn't come up with numbers, with demography, with anything, with all those suffering that's happening in the country.”

$“When you spend 5% of your annual Pentagon budget on supporting Ukraine, destroying 50% of Russian military equipment, then that’s a good investment.” This is exactly what I tell all them time. We have yet a good chance to destroy the Russian war machine with a fraction of what is needed later on. There is no way that Putin will ever stop unless when being defeated and destroyed on the battlefield. When we do it now then we even save our own cities and people. Ukraine is more than willing to destroy the invaders and we should be thankful to the people of Ukraine for that. Just do it!$

We had another very productive session, building off Geneva, building off the events of this week. As I told you earlier this morning, our goal here is to end the war, but it's more than just to end the war. We don't just want to end the war. We also want to help Ukraine be safe forever, so never again will they face another invasion. And equally importantly, we want them to enter an age of true prosperity. We want the Ukrainian people to emerge from this war, not just to rebuild their country, but to build it back in a way that will be stronger and more prosperous than it's ever been. And so this is comprehensive, what we're working on here today. It's not just about the terms that end fighting. It's about also the terms that set up Ukraine for long-term prosperity. I thought we started laying the groundwork for that, most certainly in Geneva. I think we continue that work in our communications throughout the week. I think we built on that again today, but there's more work to be done. This is delicate. It's complicated. There are a lot of moving parts, and obviously there's another party involved here that they'll have to be a part of the equation. And that will continue later this week, when Mr. Witkoff travels to Moscow, although we've also been in touch in varying degrees with the Russian side, but we have a pretty good understanding of their views as well. So much work remains, but today was again a very productive and useful session where I think additional progress was made, and we continue to be realistic about how difficult this is, but optimistic, particularly given the fact that as we've made progress, I think there is a shared vision here that this is not just about ending the war, which is very important. Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski effectively stated that they convinced Ukraine to fight Russia for another two years in the hopes that the Russian economy would collapse. Well, it's high time for Russia to change its tactics in Ukraine. Russia seeks to avoid confrontation with the United States, that's obvious. But to avoid a direct war with the United States, Russia must destroy Ukraine as a source of confrontation with the United States. The half-hearted solution Russia is pursuing will stop neither the war in Ukraine nor the confrontation with the United States. I don't know what the Kremlin thinks about this, but that's exactly what I think. Kirill Dmitriev won't be able to reconcile Russia and the United States. Either Russia will use force against the Ukrainian state apparatus and declare its intention to liquidate the Bandera state, or Russia itself will be destroyed. BREAKING: Putin appears to threaten the West with Nuclear Weapons! Dear Republicans, Vladimir Putin is not your friend. Putin is now apparently threatening the West with Nuclear weapons. In his speech to the nation, Putin hit back on comments made that it can’t be ruled out that the West could send troops to Ukraine to help them defend their country from Russia. “Everything that they are coming up with now, with which they threaten the entire world – all this really threatens a conflict with the use of nuclear weapons, and therefore the destruction of civilization – don’t they understand this, or what? They must ultimately understand that we also have weapons – and they know about it, just as I now said – we also have weapons that can hit targets on their territory.” The argument that we shouldn’t give aid to an ally whom we have an agreement with to provide security to, because Putin has Nuclear weapons and may use them, is a cowardly, weak argument. If the bully is beating up on the weak kid in school, you shouldn’t let his threats toward you prevent you from defending that kid or getting that kid some help, unless you are weak and cowardly yourself. A strong country stands up to Putin. They give Ukraine what they need to defend themselves, before it’s too late. Do you honestly think that once Putin takes Ukraine, he will be happy? Do you think his threats will suddenly stop?
