I’ve said the same thing for years. 100% agree with him. Marvin Hagler never lifted weights and he was a helluva fighter with great skills and a body that looked as if it had been carved from rock!

TIENES MI RESPETO, STARK 🙌 'Pitbull' Cruz tuvo palabras para su contrincante 'Tashiro' Fierro al término de su pelea. ¿Qué dijo? Descúbrelo aquí. 👇 #PitbullCruz #TashiroFierro #Boxeo

The man, the legend Rudy Hernandez one of the great guys in the sport of boxing. So much knowledge and real. Good stuff Kimster

Definitely, old school! I never touched weights during any amateur boxing training regimen. Plenty of bag work shadow boxing and running. We did switch it up some days with floor exercises. We would agree with some weights for older fighters. But it has got to be done right.

His boxers run, skip rope, do pushups, and pull-ups. That’s all you need.

One of the beauties of boxing is that there's so many ways to be successful. There isn't just one philosophy I respect Rudy's point of view but I don't necessarily agree with it 100%

When Rudy talks, I listen Others should as well #boxing

He is 100% right. S&C coaches and training is a waste of time.

Can't argue with anything he said, lifting only makes sense if you want to up in weight ala Holyfield and others. Otherwise, why spend energy putting on living weight you might have to cut to make weight.

Trying to optimize all his training specifically for boxing

i wonder if it makes sense to do s/c (not massive weight lifting, but more body weight strength/agility stuff)outside of camp, kind of like staying ready so when you get into camp it's just boxing. the physical foundation is already laid, camp is for building everything else.
