This happened during the Cubs vs Rangers game. A grounder to first and the first baseman throws home to get the out at home plate. Catcher applies the tag, the runner is called safe. Replay clearly shows the runner is out. The Cubs challenge the call and are confident it is going to be overturned. After replay, the runner is called safe! 🤯 How can the replay booth who has every angle in the book at their disposal (not that you needed more than one) botch this call after the umpire just botched it? Do people lose their jobs over this? Have you seen a more terrible call ever in the replay challenge era?

And one of the things that a lot of players kept mentioning is you don’t have a wave weather difference, where you can simply get unlucky and you’re out of contention for that tournament. It’s part of the game, I get it, but it’s something you don’t have to deal with anymore. So that part is a very nice aspect. The team is what really made it for me. Being able to be part of a team, represent a team, play for my teammates, with my teammates and against my teammates, is something that to me that has always been very, very special. When you get a victory to share, it’s always better to have a team to share it with. So it’s what was the most attractive part and when we started discussions it gets to a point where even though I’m ambitious, I’m not greedy. So there’s a give and take and the format is something that I can easily overlook, and I’m pretty sure I can learn to enjoy it, I’ll just have to get used to it, but I’m pretty sure I’ll learn to enjoy it. Agree... to disagree. Look, I get what Klieman is saying about reducing risk and doing it in a more strategic manner rather than just QB run every other down, but those legs are still the most talented and unique wrinkle that Avery/K-State possess against any defense in America. Klieman even references the strength & conditioning Avery put in this offseason to better prepare his body to withstand the rigors of the run game. There was a purpose behind that, right? Finally, as I know @KFlahertyKCSN would attest to, one of the special traits about Avery as a runner from seeing him back in high school (and even still today) is this innate knack he has to NOT take the worst of a hit. So, yes, there's always the gamble that someone goes low or makes a dirty play but I'd trust Avery as a "safe" runner 9 times out of 10. They HAVE to let him be the all-around weapon that he is more than they've shown this season and even last. Especially without Edwards in the mix. Nobody is asking for Collin Klein between the tackles, just sprinkle in a few more designed calls and let the wheels burn.

Shes Perfect - our dream maker. On Sunday, we will run in the Group 1, French 1000 Guineas at Longchamp, 366 days after we bought her. In a time in my life where I lost my best friend, she has been my light. To have a group runner was me day a distant dream I never thought I’d achieve. In less than 48 hours, 60 loyal and passionate owners will embark to Longchamp racecourse, full of pride. This is all about the horse, Sue is very special and I feel extremely proud and grateful to be able to share her journey. The king is onboard and as the interview said on the 9th August “the owners are very enthusiastic and just asked me when the 1000 guineas is” we’re less than 48 hours away and we’re there. We have a runner in the Guineas, that just doesn’t feel reel. What a horse, what a journey. Come on Sue ❤️🐎
