Good stuff. Go to YouTube and type in “Van Halen - Roots” and you’ll get a ton of recordings as early as 1976. Van Halen playing covers by Led Zeppelin, ZZTop, Aerosmith, Montrose, Rainbow, Johnny Winter, KISS and more. Great if you’re a fan of the early days of the band.

Sunday Albums of Guitar Gods: Van Halen – Van Halen 1/5 INTRO 1978. One debut album and rock guitar changed forever. Eddie Van Halen didn’t just shred, he reinvented the instrument. Here’s “Runnin’ with the Devil” live.

The song that put Van Halen on the Map. I remember where I was when I first heard it. Runnin with the Devil! The world changed that day.

Do James and Metallica, covering Van Halen’s ‘Runnin’ With The Devil’, sound better than Diamond Dave on his current tour!?

OK! Runnin' with the devil started Van Halen's success but tell me a better song than Mean Street. It's ok to agree with me. But I feel this can't be debated.
