Generative tools landing directly in the timeline is the right direction. Less tab-switching, more actual editing. I'll be curious how it holds up on real client work.

Living inside the timeline removes the step that killed most of these tools in practice, which was exporting, generating somewhere else and reimporting. By the third round trip the edit has moved on and the shot no longer matches.
