Ruski's #RobloxDev Tip #8: Instead of using neon parts to light up your windows, you apply a texture and change the Color3 value to be over the 255, 255, 255 max to make it glow.

SurfaceGuis work as well- but there can be performance issues as well but you can be a wee bit creative with the use of them ;)

I also just learned you can make glass parts look glassier by setting the transparency above 1 and adding a highlight object

I thought textures/decals were worse on performance than the other methods we've been using though?

I discovered this years ago, but I had people say it doesn't work on mobile or lower graphics, and not on all lighting technologies. But I don't know the current situation.

which is more performant? dont textures require more draw calls
