⚡️🇺🇦🇷🇺There is now confirmation of the first attempts to blind Russian FPV drones by installing small IR spotlights on Ukrainian drones, producing a bright, directional beam aimed at the incoming drone’s camera. In one case, a Ukrainian UGV tried to blind an approaching Russian FPV drone but failed. The second example was more successful a “Baba Yaga” drone was able to confuse the operator of an anti-drone interceptor that was attempting to shoot it down. For now, this cannot be called widespread, but in the future such a blinding system may become an effective method of countering FPV drones, especially fiber-optic-guided ones, which cannot be jammed by electronic warfare at all. And, as can be seen, the system can be installed on both ground and aerial platforms. So it turns out the outdated Passive Protection Systems (PPS) like the Shtora-1 so common in the late Soviet/Russian/Ukranian like the T-90A are state of the art now.

It has already proven effective in the Kharkiv region at removing russian reconnaissance drones from the sky. We now need more of them. We're aiming to raise $59,500 to build 100 of these drones. All funds will go directly towards the cost of components, and the drones will be provided to the military free of charge. Global attention is focused on the Persian Gulf. But we have news too. March 2026 became the first month when, in terms of deep strikes, Ukraine reached parity with Russia. The average number of long-range kamikaze drones launched by Ukraine has significantly increased, while the average number of Russian strike drones launched against Ukraine has currently dropped to 90–110 per day. Experts offer various possible reasons for this decrease: ▪️ drone production in Russia was not fully localized and partially depended on Iran; ▪️ logistics routes have become longer, and Iran itself now needs drones; ▪️ Ukraine is partially hitting production sites and factories; ▪️ possibly, Russia is stockpiling drones, perhaps for hybrid provocations in other regions; ▪️ it is also likely that Russia has started supplying drones to Iran. By spring, Ukraine has significantly increased strikes on Russia using long-range kamikaze drones. For example: on the night of March 18, Russia officially claimed to have "shot down" 238 drones; however, some of them struck a chemical plant in Stavropol Krai and an electronics facility in Sevastopol. Ukraine has also expanded its operational range: over 1,500 km. Russians have openly expressed concern about the security of military infrastructure in the Urals. Ukraine has increased and continues to increase both the production and variety of drones. Currently, for example, they are being tested for flight navigation using night vision cameras without relying on GPS. If successful, the drones will become even cheaper. ▪️ The FP-1 drone is a deep-strike drone. Previously, it carried a 60 kg warhead, and now it will carry 105 kg. The FP-2 drone - this is middle-strike - previously had a 105 kg warhead; now it will carry 158 kg. ▪️ It’s very important that everything is now closely coordinated with the military. Only the experience that the troops gain directly matters, and it must always be taken into account. The FP-2 drone was developed in response to a military request. ▪️ At present, 200 FP-1/2 drones are being produced daily. Production could easily be increased 2-3 times.
