I am Peruvian and Russia is not my enemy

Ordinary people in Russia, Ukraine, and the Netherlands are not each other’s enemies. Most just want to live, work, and raise their families in peace. The hostility comes from governments that choose confrontation, propaganda, and war as policy. Citizens pay the price for decisions they rarely get to make. Distinguishing between a people and their leadership is necessary — and so is expecting those leaders to stop treating other nations as tools or threats.

They need an enemy to distract the world from the atrocities of those in power. Much of the world sees through the propaganda, yet some in the West continue to defend it. Where has critical thinking gone?

Russia is not the enemy. They are the enemy of our enemy.
