Russia literally cannot stop the war or its economy will collapse. So I don’t see a lot coming out of these peace talks other than the United States, producing more oil and possibly sending older weapons to Ukraine which will clear out warehouses for new stuff destined for China.

Russia will continue to build its military weapons ceasefire or not. They will simply prepare for the next invasion. This is what they do.

Mcdump will make a ridiculous deal with Ukraine to save face with Russia, collapse the deal and just wash his hands of the peace agreement and claim victory.

I think it can, temporarily. As long as the production is geared towards weapons. Like 6-12 months. Propaganda will work on a reason why "Ukraine did not adhere to the ceasefire agreement".

So collapse now, or collapse in a few years at the pace they're going.

I really hope you're right on this. I find it hard to be optimistic at this point.

Why would they suddenly stop production when the active war is over? They would continue to produce even more weapons and equipment in preparation for the next active war. This pause for them is beneficial and they said that themselves with the same reasoning.

I would definitely call this wildly optimistic as opposed to cautiously...
