Trump announced that the U.S. will start selling $5 million “gold cards,” granting residency and a path to citizenship to wealthy individuals from around the world. When asked whether russian oligarchs would be eligible for a gold card, Trump responded, “Yeah, possibly. I know some Russian oligarchs that are nice people.” The usual MAGA suspects will support this simply because they support anything Trump says, even though it completely contradicts the traditional republican stance. I mean, selling U.S. citizenship for money — who would have thought republicans would ever agree to that?! True patriots! Make America Great Again
