Russian DIY modification for a tactical drone - a drum-style, six-shot revolver drop mechanism. The drone carries six munitions at once, releasing them sequentially: "The system is universal: it can be mounted on both a DJI Mavic quadcopter and an FPV drone. Now, the operator has six times the... show more

What you see is literally a dog fight between two drones. One is a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone and the other is a Russian FPV counter reconnaissance drone. After spotting the Ukrainian drone, the Russian FPV operator rams itself where the propeller is and downs the Ukrainian reco drone. Not just it, the Russian drone could be seen safe and it was asked to RTH.

A Russian FPV drone was reportedly waiting for a target when a Ukrainian drone suddenly dropped a grenade from above. The grenade missed, but the Russian operator realized the attack had come from another drone and immediately launched his FPV to search for it. What followed was an unusual drone-versus-drone engagement. The Russian operator located the smaller Ukrainian quadcopter, aggressively manoeuvred toward it and eventually hit it in mid-air. The footage appears to show the Russian FPV acting as an improvised interceptor. The incident highlights how FPV drones are taking on new roles on the battlefield. They are no longer just weapons designed to strike ground targets — operators can also use them to hunt other drones. As counter-drone tactics evolve, aerial dogfights between small UAVs could become an increasingly common part of modern warfare. #russia #ukraine #fpvdrone ##fpv #Drones #DroneStrike

A Russian FPV drone operator reportedly detected an approaching armored vehicle by sound rather than sight. The drone was concealed in bushes while its microphone picked up the vehicle moving along the nearby road. Once the sound revealed the target’s approach, the operator launched the drone, located the vehicle and carried out the strike. This allowed the drone to remain concealed instead of constantly exposing itself while searching through its camera. The footage highlights an interesting evolution in drone warfare: sometimes detecting a target before seeing it can provide the element of surprise. #Russia #ukraine #drone #FPVDrone #DroneStrike

The Russian “Yolka” interceptor drone has had success intercepting Ukrainian UAVs in the field. It is currently a handheld device reliant on the operator visually acquiring the target. Here is a prototype trailer-mounted system apparently integrating Yolkas with a search radar.

In today's episode of drone wars: Russian FPV drone gets sticked to a Ukrainian unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) after impacting it without detonating. The drone operator attempts to shrug off the intruder by running rings with his vehicle. To no avail. To the rescue of the UGV comes a Ukrainian quadcopter equipped with a rope and hook. Through surgically-precise maneuvring with the attached equipement, the Russian FPV drone is picked up and safely disposed away from the ground vehicle, allowing it to continue its operations.

⚡️🇺🇦🇷🇺There is now confirmation of the first attempts to blind Russian FPV drones by installing small IR spotlights on Ukrainian drones, producing a bright, directional beam aimed at the incoming drone’s camera. In one case, a Ukrainian UGV tried to blind an approaching Russian FPV drone but failed. The second example was more successful a “Baba Yaga” drone was able to confuse the operator of an anti-drone interceptor that was attempting to shoot it down. For now, this cannot be called widespread, but in the future such a blinding system may become an effective method of countering FPV drones, especially fiber-optic-guided ones, which cannot be jammed by electronic warfare at all. And, as can be seen, the system can be installed on both ground and aerial platforms. So it turns out the outdated Passive Protection Systems (PPS) like the Shtora-1 so common in the late Soviet/Russian/Ukranian like the T-90A are state of the art now.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Ukrainian civilians stop and let the Russian drone check them. Russian drone operator and the Ukrainian women know the safety procedure. The drone waited like a gate on the street, now they can pass … drive towards Russian positions to safety. Glad they’re safe. 1/ 🧵

A high-speed drone (jet drone?) is seen striking the Progress plant, a strategically critical Russian defense enterprise in Michurinsk, Tambov Oblast, and a second drone appears to strike off-camera. The plant produces components for Russian missile and drone navigation systems.

A Russian drone operator reportedly intercepted a Ukrainian aerostat flying at around 10 kilometres altitude. Reports say the balloon was carrying an FPV drone along with a Starlink terminal, potentially allowing the drone to be transported far beyond its normal flight range. The concept is simple: the balloon acts as a carrier, travelling with the wind before releasing the drone closer to its target. In theory, this could allow a small FPV drone to reach areas that would otherwise be too far away to attack on its own. The particular aerostat was reportedly intercepted before the drone could be released. But the concept shows how the drone war is evolving beyond conventional aircraft — with balloons potentially being used as low-cost high-altitude carriers for attack drones. If reliable, the combination could create a new challenge for air-defence systems. #RussiaUkraine #fpvdrone #Starlink #Drones #DroneStrike

🇺🇦🇷🇺 Russian soldier grabs a Ukrainian drone from mid air, shows the finger to the drone operator and throws it away so it blows. It depends on the trigger system the drone has, often there are two wires that need to touch for it to go off, so such a drone can actually be grabbed like this. Ice cold … bro.

Russian fiber-optic FPV drone strikes the "Sumy Severnaya" 330kV electrical substation in northeastern Ukraine. Manuvering through the territory of the substation, Russian drone operator is able to reach and hit the main transformer. The transformer is seen covered by a hastily constructed sarcophagus, presumably for protection against Shahed/Geran-type long-range OWA-UAVs. It didn't help much against a more maneuverable FPV drone that reached the target from an underside.
