I took this video while descending from the summit of Mt Everest (8,848.86 m) and approaching Everest Base Camp on 22 May 2026. Crossing the Khumbu Icefall has always meant navigating collapsing seracs, shifting ladders, and deep crevasses, but now another danger is rapidly appearing across the glacier: newly formed meltwater streams flowing through the ice itself. This did not feel like the Everest I first knew. It felt like witnessing the meltdown of the world’s highest mountain. During the 2026 Everest season, I walked beneath the Khumbu Icefall and felt something deeply unsettling. The mountain no longer looked frozen and permanent. It looked fragile. It looked wounded. Scientists have repeatedly warned that the Himalaya is warming faster than the global average. Study after study shows Himalayan glaciers are melting at an accelerating rate due to rising global temperatures caused by climate change. Some research suggests glaciers across the Hindu Kush–Himalaya region have lost ice significantly faster in recent decades than they did during the previous centuries. If global warming continues unchecked, experts warn that up to one-third, and potentially far more, of Himalayan glacier ice could disappear by the end of this century. What I witnessed on Everest no longer feels distant or theoretical. The warning signs are already here. The ice beneath climbers’ feet is changing. Meltwater is flowing through places that were once permanently frozen. Ancient bodies trapped beneath glaciers are reappearing. Seracs are becoming more unstable. Entire sections of the mountain feel more unpredictable than ever before. For millions of people across Asia, this is not only about mountaineering. The Himalaya is often called the “Third Pole” because it stores one of the world’s largest reserves of ice outside the Arctic and Antarctica. These glaciers feed rivers that support nearly two billion people downstream. What happens here will eventually affect water, food, disasters, and survival far beyond the mountains themselves. As a mountaineer moments like this deeply affect me. We come to these mountains chasing dreams, and summits, but the mountains are now showing us their pain through melting ice, unstable glaciers, collapsing seracs, and silence. Everest is speaking to humanity through this meltdown. The question is whether the world will finally listen before these warnings become irreversible.

Nun (7,135 m), Kargil The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has successfully conducted a landmark achievement in the Force’s mountaineering history by completing its first-ever all-women force-level expedition to Mt. Nun (7,135 m) in the Nun-Kun massif, Kargil. This historic feat marks a pathbreaking milestone in ITBP’s tradition of excellence in high-altitude operations. Flagged off on 3 July 2025 from ITBP Headquarters, New Delhi, by Rahul Rasgotra, IPS, DG ITBP, the team underwent nearly one month of intensive pre-climb training at Leh for acclimatization and technical preparedness before embarking on the ascent. On 13 August 2025 at 09:25 AM, the first rope team, comprising 7 climbers and 3 technical members, successfully summited Mt. Nun after starting from the summit camp late on 12 August. The second rope team of 7 climbers and 2 technical members reached the summit at 08:50 AM on 14 August 2025, completing the climb in a meticulously planned two-day summit push. Known as the highest peak in the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir, Mt. Nun is a formidable high-altitude climb, characterized by steep mixed ice–rock terrain, knife-edge ridges, crevasse-laden glaciers, vertical ice walls, and unpredictable weather. It is recognized as a preparatory peak for 8,000-meter expeditions, demanding exceptional endurance, technical skill, and strategic planning. Andrew Ushakov had a dream to be the fastest person to do this challenge, and show a different way to attempt Everest. Normally Everest missions can take 50+days due to acclimatisation routines, but Andrew wanted to show that with dedication, training and lots of preparation and hypoxic training for acclimatisation (*including 400+ hours in a hypoxic tent), it could be done faster. Andrew started his challenge from Sea Level, starting at New York on May 15th at 00.30am and flying to Kathmandu, and then flying to Everest Base Camp. There’s this video going around about cut ropes on Everest which some climbers were reportedly warned about on Sunday by the Peak Promotion team who were up doing body retrievals. Other Sherpa guides talk about what they saw too. The controversy erupted following the successful summits of Everest and Lhotse by Nimsdai Purja and his team. What should have been a moment of celebration turned into a need to address accusations and misunderstandings about the incident involving cut ropes on Everest. Here is a timeline of events. Sunday, 26th May: Nims and his team ascended from Camp 2 to Camp 3. During their climb a manager from another expedition team involved in a rescue mission higher up Everest radioed a warning. They informed Nims that ropes had been deliberately cut just below the South Summit, above the balcony. This dangerous act forced them to abandon their mission. Nims' team received this warning through the radio which was captured in their first video. Monday, 27th May: Undeterred, Nims and his team continued their summit push. True to the warning, they found the ropes were indeed cut at the specified location but being experienced climbers they adapted by fixing new ropes which allowed them to continue safely. The team successfully reached the summit and returned without further incident. This second video they shared shows the cut ropes corroborating their initial report.

Yesterday, he was bragging in statehouse how he will win even Ol Kalau by-election and stop watu wa Makelele , unfortunately his candidate has been shown dust. Ol Kalau victory by DCP is a landmark testament that William Ruto has lost grip , barely 12 months to the next general elections. Secondly, People are determined to send him parking , In Sugoi. Thirdly his grip in the mountain is completely shuttered and he should forget the Mt completely Lastly, his Mt Kenya boys , the likes of Kimani Ichungwa, Itumbi and Kuria who have been abusing Riggy G should now adapt , that the Mt is with Riggy G, forthwith, Ruto will see them as valueless. With 1.2B and less than 5k votes it means Ruto is irredeemably cooked in the Mountain, Kithrure Kindiki too won’t be a considerate factors , elections is about numbers what will Kindiki bring on table from Mt kenya to be the deputy president? Journey to Sugoi is now clear.

Stony Brook freshman Andrej Shoshkikj will be entering the transfer portal. One of the bigger mid-season breakouts this past season, Shoshkikj went on to average 14.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists in the year of 2026 and shot 51.3%, 49.4% from three, 95.3% FT during that stretch. Which included a breakout 35 point performance to end the season vs Campbell. Very talented, I do hope he stays at the MM level, really think he's got a chance to be one of the most efficient guards at that level next season. Has taken major leaps since I first watched him during U18's and 20's in 23.

Everest it's named Pemba, and two days ago it reached the top of Chimborazo, a 20,000-foot peak in Ecuador, completely on its own (no remote or operator). and the robot itself is nothing special. Pemba is a Unitree G1, the same ~$14k robot anyone can buy online right now. the guy behind it, Pablo Berlanga, is doing this to send robots into the places that kill people. think about how you'd check on a melting glacier or a deadly crevasse out in the middle of nowhere today. you either send a person who might not come back, or you skip it and learn nothing. so Berlanga wants a robot that walks in on its own, carries a few pounds of gear, and brings back footage from places no human can safely reach. i think eventually they'll even be used for robot rescue missions to reach people stranded in disasters and dangerous situations from here, the plan for Pemba is Mauna Kea in Hawaii, then Everest. Everest is the tricky one. the team wanted to send Pemba up this spring to start hauling trash off the mountain and tracking its glaciers (something Nepal genuinely needs help with) but the Nepalese government told them to wait. there's no law in Nepal for a climber that isn't human, so the rules have to get written before a robot can set foot on the mountain. kind of incredible that the machine is ready for Everest a full year before anyone's decided whether it's allowed to be up there

Here's another Local Ukrianian Hero I feel more people should know about, He goes by Uncle Grisha (дядя гриша) during my whole time In service in the Ukrainian marines I have seen him on many occasions during Military celebrations in Mykolaiv collecting money to help units on the frontline, although I never interacted with him it was always nice to see him at various Celebrations. He was previously drafted in the Soviet Airborne and was injured during his deployment in 1968 as part of a limited contingent of Soviet troops to Czechoslovakia. He later had to have his legs amputated but that didn't stop him from achieving and setting out to do what was needed in life, later on after the events of 2014 He went on to collect Money for the military and become quite a Local legend amongst those in the military. However Last year when Russia invaded and occupied Kherson his home town, he refused to leave and amongst those in the community who know of him they tried to find out if he had left but they later learned he refused to leave his hometown and continued Rasing money for the Ukrainian forces. Two of the videos I added show him riding through the market in Occupied kherson in traditional Ukrainian clothing while blasting the Ukrainian Anthem with a bucket for Donations and the other video is another occasion when he was spotted riding through playing a pro Ukrainian song. He had said during his whole 7 months in occupation the vast majority of Russian soldiers left him alone thinking he was an Afgan Veteran and said he mostly had a few comments from local collaborators. He was forced to leave on the eve of the false Referendum after receiving threats from the FSB and left for zaporizhzhia. A shockingly degrading video has emerged of a 13 year old student – ‘M’ of Kingsgrove North High School in Sydney's South-West being assaulted, tormented and humiliated by three other female students in February 2026. The singer was arriving by car at Wembley Stadium in London to perform one of his concerts (he was one of the first artists to perform at the newly renovated Wembley) As he tried to enter through the back gate with his crew, a very serious and confident security guard blocked his way. The guard, leaning into the car window, insisted: “I’m sorry, I’d recognize him a mile away, and that’s not George Michael.” George, sitting in the back seat, couldn’t stop laughing. The guard remained completely convinced that he was an imposter and even asked for identification before letting him through. A member of George’s team had to step in to pull the guard aside and explain the situation. In the video recorded for the documentary *George Michael: Road to Wembley*, George is seen cracking up and saying, “This is brilliant,” as he mimics the guard: “I’d recognize him a mile away, and that’s not George Michael.” He later said it was one of the best stories that had ever happened to him, comparable to when a doorman in Birmingham told him, “I don’t care if you’re Frank Sinatra, you’re not getting in.” It was a moment of pure comedy that shows just how ironic fame can be. This is not just another video for me… When Pawan Goenka decided to return to India in the early ‘90s, leaving behind a job at General Motors, I managed to convince him to join Mahindra Automotive at Nashik as Deputy Head of R&D He often relates how when he first went to Nashik and saw the &D ‘shed’ and its rudimentary state, he began questioning his decision to come back. However, he stayed on, and as the Head of R&D, he led the development of the Scorpio. He eventually rose to become the MD & CEO of M&M Ltd, and through his entire tenure at the company, laid the foundations of the World class R&D centre we have today. Post his retirement, he is leading In-Space, a Department of Space company as its Chairman and has been recently awarded a Padma Shri. When I see Pawan and his wife Mamta buying one of our first electric origin SUVs, I am flooded by emotions and memories of working alongside him. I see a man who can take pride in helping to propel the Indian Auto Industry into the future; I see a man endorsing and enjoying the fruits of his own labour. So, as I said, this is not ordinary video for me. It is a source of pride and joy.
