“The Captain wants everyone to work, so if you are in good health, you are not supposed to beg.—If you are caught begging because you are unwilling to work, you will be made to work instead.” — A Burkinabè national has disclosed that street begging is prohibited in Burkina Faso, particularly for individuals who are physically fit and capable of working. According to him, those found begging on the streets are often arrested and assigned community service, which can last for a week or longer depending on the circumstances. [🎥: ScantyExplores]

❗️Russia has found a route to ship microelectronics from Europe to Russia. Then, it is used for Russia's military purposes - Bild Journalists used GPS trackers to trace the route of parcels sent through a network of employees of "Russian Post" in Germany. The shipments involve hundreds of tons of consignments that are regularly sent to Moscow. The parcels are transported to a warehouse near Berlin Airport, from where trucks travel through Poland and Belarus to Russia. Documents from "Uzbekistan Post" are used to process the shipments to Russia, even though the Uzbek postal service is not authorized to operate in Germany. All test parcels containing microelectronic components that were sent by the journalists reached Moscow without any obstacles. 📹 BILD

Draft notices are being massively sent to Russians. Citizens are being directed to a medical commission, and then to military training sessions for up to 2 months, people are complaining online. It's impossible to refuse to participate, and ignoring the call could result in a ban on leaving the country, the cancellation of driving licenses, a prohibition on taking loans, conducting real estate transactions, registering as an individual entrepreneur, and even fines of up to 30,000 rubles. All reservists are being called up for training: those who have served, those who haven't, and graduates of military departments. At the same time, draft notices are even being sent to women with military-registration specialties (medics, IT, radio engineering, geodesy, cartography, and others). Those who are officially employed are promised to keep their jobs and average earnings, but those who work in the informal sector are effectively losing their income, people are complaining online.

Protests and marches up and down the country today and one message back - any package put forward must relieve hardship for ALL corners of society - this is a national crisis and people are hurting badly . These are ordinary decent people who don’t have the dart or the luas or Dublin bus to get them to work - a word of personal thanks to those who came up to me at the protests this morning to express sincere thanks for the work we are doing in Independent Ireland in standing up for the ordinary person

👀❗️In Russia, “elections” is going on for the second day. To drive people to the polling stations, they use dancing dolls, alcohol for observers, lotteries… At the same time, state employees are being forced to vote and report on it under threat of dismissal. In the Yaroslavl region, personal QR codes of state employees are being scanned, and in Yekaterinburg, food packages are being issued for a photo of a ballot with a vote for “United Russia”. In Komi, pre-filled ballots for Putin’s party were found, and in Voronezh, one “voter” voted with several passports at once. Observers are being kicked out of polling stations, and especially persistent ones, according to reports, have already received electronic summonses to the military registration and enlistment office.

The Russian petrol market continues to break price records amid a growing fuel shortage that has engulfed southern regions. On Monday, September 4th, at the St. Petersburg International Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, the price of "Premium-95" petrol surpassed 75,000 (about $770) rubles per tonne for the first time in history. Setting records for 10 consecutive trading days, AI-95 petrol has risen by 21% since the beginning of summer and 74% since the start of the year. The price increase for "Regular-92" was 21% and 76%, respectively, with quotes reaching 64,814 rubles per tonne. Summer diesel fuel was traded at 68,278 (about $700) rubles per tonne on Monday, a 58% increase compared to the beginning of the year. Such a sharp rise in the petrol futures market in Russia has not been seen in at least the last seven years. According to oil traders surveyed by Reuters, some Russian regions are experiencing a shortage of fuel, with deliveries not being made from oil depots, and the shortage has reached retail gas stations. "Krasnodar Krai, Adygea, Astrakhan – there are no volumes of 92 (gasoline) in retail, almost no 95, and diesel," according to source quoted by the agency. According to another trader, in the entire Samara region, diesel is not being sold from depots or at retail, and in the Rostov region, Krasnodar region, and Stavropol region, only a few private depots "occasionally supply small quantities." "The prices are insane," the owner of one of the oil depots said to Reuters. According to him, market participants are afraid to buy anything and are waiting for prices to drop, but that's not happening. The government blames "grey" exporters for the problems, as they purchase gasoline at subsidized prices from the budget and then sell it abroad at global prices.

Truck drivers are now taking down Flock cameras in an Ohio town by ramming directly into the poles, and more people are starting to do the same. The destruction has reportedly triggered a chain reaction, with other drivers following suit and leaving law enforcement scrambling. Even people without vehicles are joining in, using baseball bats to smash the cameras. "The vandalism is part of a trend across the country."

The video shows an alleged incident involving a supervisor assaulting employees in Kitengela, near Chuna Mall. It is reported that employees are subjected to physical assault whenever they report late or delay in production. In some cases, their phones are confiscated, and they are beaten. I call upon the Inspector General of Police, using government systems, to investigate this matter urgently and ensure that the employer involved is arrested for harassment and assault of employees. Such actions are illegal and unacceptable. While we understand that employees may make mistakes at work, no one should be subjected to violence, humiliation, or degrading treatment, especially as many of them are husbands and fathers trying to earn a living. Additionally, there is a need to review the employment contracts involved to determine whether any such form of punishment is stipulated and whether it is lawful under Kenyan labour laws or if such practices are being justified under outdated or unlawful provisions.

One Nation has called on the government to declare a National Fuel Crisis. Servo pumps are running empty, prices are skyrocketing and regional towns are being strangled. If we're not in a crisis now - then when will they call it one? The big oil companies are strangling the independent distributors who service the regions. That's forcing the prices up in the regions, and then the big oil owned service stations in the cities are increasing to match. The government can try to gaslight us all they want and try to say there's no emergency. Every Australian can see we have a crisis on our hands. It's time for Minister Bowen to use the laws that are in place: declare an emergency, force supplies to the regions and end the price gouging.

"You think we are calling for brutality? We are calling for demoralizing the people to such an extent that they come out to meet our troops with their hands up." Russian State Duma deputy speaker Pyotr Tolstoy said that Russia must openly bomb Ukrainian cities to demoralize the population and force Ukrainians to surrender to Russian forces. Russia has shifted to a new tactic against Kyiv region: constant terror and the exhaustion of the population. The main goal is to break people psychologically, divide them, and try to break their will to resist. Air raid alerts in Kyiv and Kyiv region are no longer sporadic attacks lasting a couple of hours at night. They now last throughout the day and are likely to stretch on for weeks and months due to the constant launch of drones. The old protocols for the functioning of the capital and the region, designed for isolated attacks, are no longer viable in this reality. In effect, the frontline and its economy have shifted. Kyiv and its entire suburban conglomerate, home to around 5 million people, have effectively become a frontline zone.

Some millennials have been working for 20 years and are still confused by corporate 😂 For those who are still in the dark let me fill you in. Your performance doesn't matter. Your performance review doesn't matter. Your compensation has been set by a budget committee a year ago. You are not "overachieving" anything. Management has a fixed pool of money to pay the people they manage so they can give them raises less than inflation. If they give you more money, they have to give someone else less money. It's a zero-sum game. Managers actually have a larger pool of money to hire new employees because corporations recognize that new hires need to be incentivized to come over. They won't just leave their company for the same money. If you've been at the same company for 5 years you are underpaid. If you've been at the same company for 10 years you are paid less than a new hire at a competitor. Loyalty doesn't matter because there is no reason for a company to voluntarily pay you more money. Corporations already know that over 95% of employees will not go anywhere and will take whatever they get. Even if that's nothing. There's no reason to pay everybody more money when only a tiny percentage of workers will leave. Even if you leave... (remember over 95% of employees will not) ... the corporation will distribute the work you were doing among all your coworkers. And they will take on the extra work. And they will stay. For nothing. Because in addition to a salary, what an employee wants is to not have to look for a new job. That's all the want. They don't want to move anywhere. And companies know it, and they will take advantage of that. Now you know! You're welcome.

They were later taken to Oshogbo, a place where they know no one. Six to seven of them were abandoned at the gate, with no place to sleep and no money to buy food. North Korean street cleaners are too expensive, says the mayor of Russia's Orenburg. The city has been hiring workers from Senegal since spring because locals don’t want the job on the city’s terms of about $730 a month, a six-day week and a one-hour lunch break. Mayor Albert Yumadilov says he's happy with the Senegalese workers because they are willing to do hard work even at weekends. He added that the city tried last year to bring in North Korean workers, but failed because North Koreans would not come for $730 a month. According to him, they earn two to three times more, roughly $1,460 to $2,200 a month, in other Russian regions that have agreements with Pyongyang.

#BBCDebate There are many things we need to do. There are two really important things. We have to keep the budget strong. You need a strong economy to do that. And public spending is going to go up. It will go up, and for the NHS very substantially. The only people on this platform who have ever cut the NHS budget are Labour in Wales, they've cut it four times and that's why their waiting lists are four times longer than they are in England. Not only can you not afford a Labour government, the NHS can't afford it either.
