“I don’t understand KFC. You sell your drinks in plastic cups but give us paper straws. If you really care about the environment, use paper cups and plastic straws. That way, you’ll realise the plastic straw is less harmful.” — A man criticises KFC over its use of paper straws

Trump is babbling complete nonsense “Hopefully they'll be able to get these expensive computers going. You know, the reason you use computers is to make time so that it's like fast. You don't use them so that you have to come up with an answer three days later. And that's a little scary when they say what, what are they doing? You use a computer because it calculates quickly and you use paper because you save cost, but the paper turns out to be much quicker than the computer”

🚨 JUST IN: President Trump says that the United States sent MILLIONS for food in Gaza - Europe did not - and nobody acknowledged it or thanked him. "We sent $60 million 2 weeks for food, to Gaza. And nobody acknowledged it, nobody talks about it. It makes you feel a little bad when you do that, and you have other countries not giving ANYTHING. None of the European countries gave - nobody gave but us, and nobody said, 'Gee, thank you very much.'" "Why are we doing it and nobody else? We had a humanitarian reason for doing it."

This was from October of 2024. The MAGA Right has been in *denial* about this problem. What is worse, it pretended that there was no problem, and those of us who saw it clearly were making it up. The bigoted right is real, large & very determined. We tried to tell you before.

"This is true! When Elon says 'Questioning the science is part of the science,' I don't know if anybody in scientific academia knows that because usually if you publish a paper or a study, that's it! Nobody questions it. You just publish it, and that's it!"

THIS GUY BUILT A VISUAL CALENDAR THAT SHOWS YOU EVERY SUBSCRIPTION YOU'RE PAYING FOR the best part is it auto-imports your subscriptions directly from the app store so no manual entry, no typing in amounts, it just pulls everything automatically you open it and instantly see when every charge is hitting and how much is going out each month we're all paying for at least 5-10 subscriptions we forgot about and this puts all of them in one visual calendar clean UI and a simple concept that solves a problem everyone has but nobody bothers to fix

#WATCH | Delhi: Union Health Minister JP Nadda says, "The demand of the students, the issue they have raised regarding paper leaks. First of all, I urge that we should not politicize this issue and it is not appropriate to seek political advantage from it. This is a serious problem and requires in-depth discussion."

This is what the opposition is hiding from you. For the first time, a govt is fighting paper leaks with such force. But they won’t tell you that the situation with paper leaks and exam scams is worse in Punjab, Jharkhand and Karnataka. The Centre has done everything in its power to stop paper leaks, while opposition-ruled states have done absolutely nothing. Pradeep Bhandari is brutally exposing those who want your children to riot on the streets for their political interests

Why Rust is overused right now Martin Odersky (Creator of Scala): "Right now, rust is actually overused because a lot of people push Rust for things higher up in the stack Where a garbage collector is fine, but essentially you still want to code without. And that is, for me, a bit an exercise in doing it intellectually just because you can I don't really think there's a big sense in it. If you have the memory for a garbage collector, you should absolutely use one, because it makes a lot of things simpler. So, yes, of course, if given enough brains, I can write code around and I can do that, but why should you? It can be much simpler."

"C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do it, it blows your whole leg off." Bjarne (Creator of C++): "It's a good quote and it's correct. Arnold Penzias, who's got a Nobel Prize in physics, was once trying to explain to a large group of Bell Labs managers about C++, and he says you can't have a power tool without knowing how to use it. What is behind that is if you get a power tool and you misuse it, you will get more problems. Get a car that accelerates faster and it can wrap you around a tree in a way old fashioned, slow accelerating car can't. It's fundamental to having power tools."

MPs DEMAND OUTSTANDING PAYMENTS HON. HWENDE: A month ago during a workshop in Bulawayo, you promised us that you were going to come to Parliament and address on the issue of the welfare of Members of Parliament. I noticed that you were not around but since that time, nothing has improved. In fact, it is becoming worse and worse.

Cain: It is really hard not to see this through the lens of the art of the deal. Trump makes a demand and that is the purchase of Greenland. He is immediately rebuffed. He amps up the demand…we wind up back in a place where perhaps it’s not full ownership but it is a deal…. Nobody understands the lesson of what is happening. It’s the art of the deal.
