Birmingham City Council has removed dozens of national flags from a main route in the city. Flags representing the four UK nations and the Republic of Ireland had been attached to lampposts on West Boulevard in Quinton since September. A council crew, with a police escort, took down the flags in the early hours of Wednesday, April 15. It came less than a month after the authority removed flags along Kingstanding Road in Kingstanding under the cover of darkness on Wednesday, March 25, with police in attendance. Birmingham....says it all..
