Thank you John for putting the correct context on Ryan’s statement, even though the vast majority of decent people already knew it. The callous and hateful way he was treated by a certain journalist is now fully exposed and Ryan is vindicated.

Very well articulated, this was purely factual and not racist at all, glad he Casey won the defamation case!

Hopefully @john_mcguirk will be similarly effusive when he apologises to Mr. Bensaada who Gript wrongly accused of the attempted murder of children. There’s a motion in the High Court on Tuesday - a good time to settle!

On the right is a woman who represents the very worst this country has to offer (sue me, Kitty). On the left, two people who are symbolic of all the goodness in this land we call home. You can be guaranteed the odious Kitty Holland has not, nor will ever utter a word of apology to Ryan Casey or Ashling Murphy's family, she is too busy being a murder apologist perhaps? Despite being at the heart of Casey's suit against the BBC, Holland's name has been kept out of the coverage of the story today (following Casey's settlement with the @BBC). On "The View," Holland said elements of Casey's statement were "not good" and "incitement to hatred," and that Casey was "being held up as a hero of the far-right now." Holland said the media was "right" to not include all of Casey's comments when reporting on his statement (IMAGINE SUPRESSING SUCH A HARROWING AND HONEST VICTIM IMPACT STATEMENT?). "I don't think that they [Casey's comments] were helpful," she said on the BBC programme. "It's the kind of thing that the far-right latches onto. They latched onto the nationality of the man who attacked the children [referring to the three 5 year old children stabbed in Dublin by an Algerian migrant a week after Casey read out his statement in court). Holland implied immigration had nothing to do with why Ashling was murdered (almost decapitated) by Roma Solvak Jozeph Puska, despite that he was a convicted rapist and not from Ireland (who was never background checked and was also a suspect in two other sex crimes in two seperate countries). Today Ryan Casey reiterated his call for a safer Ireland...one free from gaslighting and the silencing of truth. This young man has more fortitude, wisdom, courage and painfully acquired insight than Kitty Holland will ever have. A truly detestable, contemptible woman, who is in my humble opinion, apparently devoid of empathy, sense, decency or any sort of affability.

Omitting Holland’s name from much of the reporting of the settlement only showed further how dedicated many in the Irish media are to maintaining their misplaced sense of moral superiority. What she said, particularly in the circumstances she said it, was utterly disgraceful.

NIAMH UÍ BHRIAIN: Ryan Casey was most wrongly, seriously, defamed. Yet his legal action was always all for Ashling. To speak the truth about her murderer "free of gaslighting, blacklisting or censorship", Ryan Casey took on the media and won.

Journalism has been brought to the point of extinction by hardline ideologues who see it not as their job to report news, but to censor facts they don’t like. Every good wish to Ryan - the whole country was behind him.
