Ryan: This is clearly us starting another forever war—which the American people do not support. It’s very clear this is not about drugs. Trump—in the press conference—was stunning in just straight up admitting this is a war for oil, and that he is willing to send our blood and... show more

Duckworth: Donald Trump, through his war of choice, is not making America greater. It’s not making America stronger. In fact, it’s weakening our national security. He’s blowing through our weapons stockpiles. He is leaving our allies and American interests vulnerable across the globe. So this is about the war, but it’s also about the fact that when the commander in chief of the United States makes these decisions, it’s supposed to be with Congress and in America’s best national interest. And in fact, he has made us more vulnerable. He has expended precious resources, and he has no idea what his next step is or how this is going to end. He put incompetent people in charge, and you get the result we have right now.

Ryan: If there's one thing that I know, my constituents and people across the country do not want is these open ended conflicts with no plan. They clearly have no plan. And so I think it's important, regardless of party, whether you're elected official or not, that the American people say we do not want another forever war for oil and money.

AOC: It’s beyond just the American service members who have tragically died in this, and our hearts do go out in prayer to their families, but also the over 100 Iranian schoolgirls who have been killed in these attacks, and the countless people who are affected, possibly displaced as well. This is really about our humanity and strategic interests. It’s both the same thing — that a war with Iran, and global war, is just not what Americans want, and I don’t think that it’s what the majority of people around the world want.

The question is simple. Do you want to send our tax dollars and our brave service members overseas for another regime-change war? Every American should know what side their Representative is on. I’m with the people. No war with Iran.

Grijalva: The frustration for me is that it seems as if Speaker Johnson is not willing to swear me in because our politics are a little different, or because I’m going to be the 218th signer—he can just continue to drag this along with no end in sight. That is not a foundation of our democracy. And I need to fight for the almost 800,000 people in our community who right now do not have a voice in Congress and don’t have the support from our district.

Vance: “We should be able to move beyond the mistakes that have been made in the past…If Russia is not willing to do that, then we’re eventually just going to say, ‘This is not our war. It’s Joe Biden’s war, it’s Vladimir Putin’s war. It’s not our war.’"

🚨 “THIS IS WAR — AND AMERICA IS LOSING HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS President Trump just made something unmistakably clear: Land strikes are coming — and not just in Venezuela. “It’s NOT only land strikes in Venezuela.” “It’s land strikes on horrible people that are bringing in drugs and killing our people.” That is not rhetoric. That is a definition of war. When 300,000 Americans die in a single year, that is not crime. It is not a health crisis. It is mass-casualty warfare by proxy. Trump didn’t talk about task forces or diplomacy. He talked about targets. This is an admission Washington has avoided for years: If hostile actors are killing Americans at wartime scale, they forfeit sanctuary — wherever they operate. The U.S. is already at war.

El-Sayed: The reason that they're playing this ad, the reason that they're going to blanket the airwaves with this, is because they want to trick us into thinking that the best possible outcome for our tax dollars is to continue to send them abroad to kill women and children in Gaza and Iran and Lebanon…

I’m defending President Trump, our troops, and this war effort because I know exactly what this Iranian regime is: a murderous terrorist regime that has killed Americans, attacked our embassies, slaughtered our service members, and is determined to get nuclear weapons capable of reaching the United States. This is not about knee-jerk politics. It’s about survival, national security, and stopping a regime that wants to wipe us off the face of the earth. And this absurd claim by the useful idiot podcasters that this is “Mark Levin’s war” is not just false—it’s insulting to the president and the brave men and women defending our country. Russian Z-propagandist Solovyev claimed that this war is a sacred war of the Russian people: "This is not a war of our generation, this is not something thought up by old men, this is not somewhere up there with the Kremlin sages - no. It is not the State Duma, not the Senate. It is a sacred war of the Russian people of the most diverse nationalities and faiths." He also added that the sabotage in Leipzig was a provocation and that if Russia wanted to, it would "wipe its enemies off the face of the earth."

Rogin: We give them the weapons, we're funding this war, we should be able to have the more than a 50% say in whether American blood and treasure is spent to perpetuate this war for months and months. Who's going to win that disagreement? Is it going to be Trump and we're going to end the war soon? Or is it going to be Bibi? And the war is going to go on for a very long time. In the end, we’re going to find out who wears the pants in this bromance.

Molder: The best example of this being all about Andy Ogles and Donald Trump—in Andy Ogles’s world—is that he introduced legislation to allow Trump to have a third term, which is clearly designed to get attention and to do something that is contrary to our Constitution in favor of a president he is a puppet of. I think people want somebody who will fight for them and, to your point, be serious. Let’s put adults in the room and have serious, important conversations about the future and direction of our country. He’s just not a serious guy.

TRUMP SAYS : BYE BYE UKRAINE !!!! " NOT NICE KNOWING YOU !" ‼️🇺🇸🇺🇦 Since Iran is not your war, then Ukraine is not our war, - Trump. ▪️This doesn't affect us. It's thousands of miles away from us. So when I heard the German leader say about Iran: "This is not our war," I replied: "Well, then Ukraine is not our war." We helped, but Ukraine is not our war. ▪️It seemed to me that this was a completely inappropriate statement, but he made it - and you can't undo it. So, he thinks that way. I said: "Well, Ukraine is not our war." And that's the case. But I would like all these young people to stop dying. They're just being killed. It's like a slaughter. What's happening there is terrible.

Ansari: So beyond the fact that this is a costly, illegal war — that American service members have already died, that American lives are at risk — this administration does not care about the Iranian people. They’re bombing indiscriminately as we speak. I brought these issues up yesterday in the briefing that members of Congress had, asked questions regarding what the plan is for the future of the Iranian people, and was told directly that is not part of this mission. And there are reports that the CIA is arming groups — separatist groups in Iraq and on the border of Iran — that could cause civil war and mass chaos and instability for years to come. There are also reports that the Trump administration is looking at making a deal with somebody else in the IRGC. So it is just so, so poorly planned — unplanned — and just a very, very dark time for this country and the world.

Deputy Prime Minister of Canada Chrystia Freeland today commenting about the documentary. “There is a film that is due to be screened at Tiff today in Toronto about Russian soldiers at War. Ukrainian diplomats and the Ukrainian Canadian Community have expressed really grave concerns about that film and I do want to say I share those concerns. We have to be really clear that this is a war where there is no moral equivalency this is a war of Russian aggression this is a war where Russia is breaking international law and committing war crimes. There is very clearly good and evil in this war. Ukrainians are fighting for their sovereignty and for democracy around the world and we as a country have to be very, very clear that there can be no moral equivalency in our understanding of this conflict. It's not right for Canadian public money to be supporting the screening and production of a film like this.”
