The funny thing is, Ryoko could absolutely body Ayeka w/o any real trouble at all. However, because Ryoko respects Ayeka on some level and doesn't actually want to hurt her, so Ryoko holds back to make these fights more fair and enjoyable.

Ryoko wasn't kidding about not minding who went first, considering Tenchi even knocks up the catrabbit spaceship. She just knows she is the boss harem chick.

Their dynamic is what holds the show together. When the ova returned after all those years ..years ago, it just didn't hit the same without them going at it. All those new girls but ryoko and Ayaka were the glue of the whole damn thing.
