I genuinely cannot understand how someone can watch this story and still stand there, looking at two women, and somehow decide that the wrong one is the victim. On one side, you have a girl (Yıldız) who has been mistreated her entire life. Since the moment she was born, she was treated like a sacrifice for a conflict she was never even part of and later we find out that this conflict never even existed. Her right to study was taken from her. She was pushed into a marriage at a very young age just imagine being six, seven, eight years old, living in fear of being tied to someone you don’t even know. She was treated like a servant in her own home, by the very people she thought were her family. And just when she gets close to the happiness she dreamed of, the man she was engaged to shows up with another wife. She gets mistreated by that wife, by his family, and even (unintentionally) by him, because he was trying to run away from his own feelings, and that only caused her more heartbreak. The whole world was literally against her. She fought through all of that, only to find out in the end that everything she suffered for was based on something that wasn’t even real. Her entire life was built on a lie. That she isn’t even part of that family that she has literally no one in this world. Now on the other side… You have a girl (Melek) who, yes, was taken from her biological mother but she was raised by loving parents. She had everything anyone could wish for: education, freedom, a happy childhood, a healthy environment. She lived her life, fell in love, went out, made choices and no one questioned her, no one controlled her. And then what did she do? She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. She tried to hand Yıldız (a woman who had already suffered enough) over to dangerous people. Then she found out the truth about her own birth (that her father ra*ped her mother.)And still no empathy. No moment of humanity toward her own mother. All she cared about was herself. And even though none of this had anything to do with Yıldız, she still found a way to blame it on her. Instead of holding her father accountable, she went and made a deal with him to get rid of Yıldız. She literally made a deal with the devil just to hurt Yıldız one more time. And after all of that… you want me to feel sorry for her? You want me to call her a victim? I honestly cannot believe we are living on the same planet with people who see this and still say, “she’s the victim.” Not morally. Not logically. Not emotionally. There is no world where this makes sense. It’s like watching someone clearly cause harm, and still calling them the victim and actually BELIEVING it. #HalefKöklerinÇağrısı

2025 has been a good comeback year for the Wales family❤️ As Queen Elizabeth was quoted saying: “The lessons from the Peace process are clear: Whatever Life throws at us, our individual responses will be all the stronger for working together and sharing the load”👌🏽 Last year, the Royal family felt like it was crumbling with the “Annus Horribilis” of cancer announcements. And yet, seeing everyone carry on and especially seeing how the Wales family handled all the pressures and challenges they went through as a family is heartwarming to witness. 2024-2025 saw the story of a young family going through challenges and tribulations together and overcoming together❤️ As Prince William said to Brazilian Host Luciano Huck about sharing Catherine’s cancer journey with their children: “Every family has its own difficulties and its own challenges. It's very individual and sort of moment-dependent as to how you deal with those problems", “We choose to communicate a lot more with our children […] Sometimes you feel you're oversharing with the children"👌🏽 "But most of the time, hiding stuff from them doesn't work, and so explaining how they feel, why that's happening, giving them other viewpoints as to why they might be feeling like they are sometimes helps give them a bigger picture, and they can relax more into it rather than being really anxious about 'what are you hiding from me'?". "There's a lot more questions when there's no answers."❤️ One can tell by how this family moves as “one body” that they are a very tight knit family with children who are quite emotional aware and attuned to their parents’ emotions. This, in turn, creates a stronger family bond, and a family that supports each other, overcomes together🔥 This is what we have come to expect of our Royal family: to lead the way in showing the resilience of the British spirit especially during the hard times👌🏽 Thus, this Christmas video of the Wales family reminded me of Prince William saying to Eugene Levy during his how iconic interview: “I’d say 2024 was the hardest year I’ve ever had. You know, life is sent to test us as well, and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are”❤️ #PrinceandPrincessofWales 📹 Kensington Palace

For the past three to four years now, I usually go on holiday twice a year — one international solo trip and one local family vacation. I do go for my solo vacation in spring and our family holiday is during the summer when the kids are on school break. Schools have finally shutdown for summer break last week and the kids are already all pumped up for our family vacation which will be coming up in few weeks from now. We haven't yet gone for our family summer vacation for this year but babe has already started making plans for our 2027 summer holiday. Last weekend, she brought up the idea of just the two of us going on a boat cruise next summer. She wants it to be just me and her without the kids. She suggested that we bring in a family member on invitation from Naija, such that there will be a family at home with the kids while we both go on a lovey-dovey boat cruise to western Europe. She advised that we should start saving up for the adventure by September. This woman and long term planning are five and six, and that virtue has been very helpful in helping us avoid financial pressure. We do everything with ease, thanks to her wisdom. For instance, two weeks before the end of the session that ended last week, we have already bought the kids school uniforms for 2026/27 academic session that will be starting in September; thanks to my wife's wisdom. If she hasn't suggested it, it wouldn't have even crossed my mind at all. I am awake now, staring at this beautiful woman sleeping peacefully next to me and I feel nothing but joy in my heart and total love for her. I am really blessed to have someone like her as my better half. I am the often chaotic and the more expressive person while she is the calm, quiet and better organised one. We perfectly compliment each other. It'll be our 12th anniversary in exactly a month's time from now, and I really look forward to our anniversary getaway weekend. Cheers to forever, baby.

There’s been some confusion/comments about my use of the phrase “pull the goalie” … so I’ll explain what it means, why I use it and why I think it’s the right starting point to use for defining urban Family Friendly housing Like from this clip from Marley and Me, it has simply meant a couple having sex, while being open to having kids. The word " trying" can feel really strange at first ... so it's just the shift from preventing a pregnancy to being willing for one to happen. And there’s a very big difference between getting pregnant and deciding to be willing to get pregnant. That difference is *key* when it comes both to designing housing and to making a City more family friendly. I know plenty of couples who have gotten pregnant immediately, like on the honeymoon. And for others it has taken years of ACTUAL trying (tracking cycles, having sex at specific times of day, hormones, IVF) ... and for some of our friends despite all efforts it just has not happened. Only God knows when or if a couple will have a baby. Babies truly are a miracle. (On a related note, Marley and Me is a beautiful movie in telling the story of wanting a family and losing a baby. My wife and I have lost children, so we know a *bit* of what the heartbreak of miscarriage is like) But the shift for a couple to become WILLING to have a baby is one of the core reasons people struggle to have kids in cities. If someone looks around their apartment and thinks, “There is no way we could raise a baby here,” then they’re less likely to stop using birth control. Your home has to feel like it could accommodate a baby. A "Baby Maybe" home: a second small bedroom or a tiny home office, that could have be a nursery in a pinch. It enables the small, almost subconscious, mental threshold where you say, “You know what … we’d be fine if this happened.” That’s the moment. And for each couple, there will be 1000 other things that go into the equation: Can we afford for 1 of us to stay home, or full-time childcare? Do we see other kids around us? Is it safe enough for kids? Are there parks nearby? Do we need to be closer to family and cousins? All will be different for each family, but they ALL require that their current home is sufficient to be able to have a kid Otherwise, as soon as a couple finds out they are pregnant ... they call their parents, friends and family and tell them the good news ... and then immediately look on Zillow to move right away so they aren't giving birth AND moving the same time. It's kind of a bummer in an otherwise wonderful magical moment. We've seen many many couples move out of the City at that exact period. "Well, since we are moving anyway, we might as well go to where we think we will live long term." But it doesn't need to be that. Babies are small. At least for the first year, if you have a place to put them you're probably better off just staying in your current place and then figuring things out later. Maybe you DO need to move to the suburbs or be closer to family or you want a house with a yard. But that decision doesn't need to be right away. TLDR: Family Friendly housing doesn’t begin at birth. It begins when a couple can imagine a child fitting into their current home ... whether that's a rowhome with tiny bedrooms or a 1BR+Den apartment.

This is Cherry. Cherry is a young 4 year old Doberman with a playful side, a smart mind, and lots of love to give to the people she trusts. She has a medium energy level, making her a great balance of active and relaxed. She enjoys walks, playtime with toys, and settling in for some downtime. Cherry appears to be housetrained and walks nicely on leash, which makes getting out and about together easy. She's also quite the student and already knows several basic commands like sit and down, plus a few fun tricks such as paw and roll over. She enjoys toys and natural chews, which are great outlets for her energy and curiosity. With familiar people, Cherry is affectionate and enjoys being near her humans. She can be a bit wary of strangers at first and may bark if someone approaches too quickly. With slow introductions and a little patience, she warms up nicely, often after the first one or two interactions. Cherry is still figuring out how to socialize with other dogs. While in the shelter, she has met both male and female dogs. She may start off a bit stiff and seems to have limited experience with dog play. As she relaxes, she can become more social, though her play style can be a bit pushy, and she has overcorrected when another dog approached her in a way she didn't like. Becaus of this, a dog-to-dog meet and greet is strongly recommended to ensure the right match. Cherry would do well with someone who appreciates a smart, engaging dog and is willing to give her time to build confidence with new people and experiences. In return, you'll gain a loyal companion who loves to learn, play, and share her affection with her favorite people. Cherry needs our help. She’s a gorgeous dog. ❤️ Do you know anyone in the Palm Springs, California area that would be interested in Cherry? Looking for a Doberman Pinscher maybe?

my grandma is 85. she is a pillar of her community in Lujan de Cuyo, a small town in Argentina where I was born. today, she got diagnosed with dementia. up until 4 months ago, she would cook fresh meals every single day, walk at least 10,000 steps at 6AM, and do pilates 3x a week. she took care of herself at the highest standard and took care of others just as intentionally. she is the wise matron of the family that has held us all together. she is the living definition of discipline and strength and warmth which is what I admired the most in her. my grandma would knit and bake and sell what she made to make ends meet when my grandpa abandoned her with 2 kids. when I came along she used to take me on long walks and share songs with me. she taught me her empanadas de carne recipe when I started living alone and cooking for myself. through her lifestyle and her choices she taught me that there is no excuse, and there are no shortcuts. you can be 85 and take care of yourself like you’re 25. and you can do all of that on top of raising children, being a sounding board for others, and holding the entire family together. i can’t believe how fast her dementia has progressed. i am genuinely stunned. having my grandma change so suddenly from the superwoman that she’s been my entire life is a new type of pain that i did not emotionally prepare for. life is precious, our mind is precious. i’m lucky to have had 27 years with the most wonderful present version of my grandma.
