Alex Collins was so special man. Amazing teammate and a guy everyone was down to kick it with. This man invited me and wifey out one time in Baltimore and I will never forget it. We show up to the spot and AC is no where to be found. We are looking around for him for 20 min and finally I feel a little nudge on my shoulder. I turnaround and AC is walking behind me, drops his shades to his nose and signals with his eyes to follow him. It was so funny and smooth, we forgot he was 20 min late. AC told us he had to be discreet because he couldn’t have everyone knowing he was there. The rest of the night, we found out why. Everywhere AC went that night everyone knew him. Everyone was excited to see him, laughing when he came around and showing him love. You see everyone loved this man and his energy was contagious. To end the night, he hit this dance with all the fans watching him on the dance floor. WHAT A NIGHT and WHAT A GUY AC WAS. Shared more laughs than people know and I’m blessed to have been your teammate my brother. Rest In Peace.

Monocular & Mighty: How Robin Learned to Insert Her Own Eye Robin lost vision in her left eye one week after her third birthday when our rooster spurred her while protecting his hens. We rushed her to the ER, then by ambulance to the children’s hospital. By God’s grace the pediatric ophthalmologist was already there and took her straight into surgery for a ruptured globe. After further procedures at Duke it was clear she would never see out of that eye again. Her natural eye later shrank and caused discomfort, so once we moved to Georgia we chose to have it removed. Today she is a thriving monocular warrior.🙏 This video is the grand finale: after days of practice, Robin put her prosthetic eye in all by herself for the first time. It brought tears to my eyes. She’s already taken it out and put it back in several more times with growing confidence. What a brave little girl. 💕🙏

Last night felt unreal. i don’t think it has fully registered with me yet that we got hit by a tornado. firstly i’ll start out by saying troy, me, and the dogs are okay. thank you God. we stayed in the basement laying down under a mattress while we heard crashing and felt the house shaking. after the first wave, we rushed upstairs to my office to grab my streaming computer and put it somewhere safe. never in a million years did i think that in those short couple minutes i would have the weight of my entire ceiling crashing down on my head. it happened so fast and all i could hear was troy screaming my name. it was pitch black. he grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the debris as we ran back downstairs with the dogs. then the second wave came. we could hear more ceiling crashing down from upstairs and water was seeping onto us in the basement. we made the decision to completely evacuate the house and drive to my grandparents house, which was terrifying in its own right. power lines were knocked down in the road and we had no service. i think we’re both kind of in shock. we worked so hard on our home & were very proud of it, but at the end of the day, i’m just grateful to have made it out alive with only a welt on the back of my head. i hope everyone else is doing okay

I recorded this on a bike somewhere in Ondo State yesterday, and it really gave me an insight into why crimes like kidnapping can thrive in certain areas. As far as the eyes could see, there were vast stretches of land with little or no human presence. It made me realize just how much of Nigeria remains largely unoccupied compared to the areas where people are concentrated. At the same time, Lagos is bursting at the seams with people, traffic, and development, while many other states have huge expanses of land and relatively small populations. It got me thinking: is part of our security challenge linked to how unevenly our population and development are distributed? With so much land lying idle across the country, what can the government realistically do to make these areas safer, more productive, and more attractive for people and businesses? I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts Meanwhile, the bike trip took 20 km of riding for ₦5,000 as there was no public vehicle going that way.

A Delivery That Changed My Day Today, while doing my daily delivery work to earn a living, I came across a heartbreaking road accident along Mombasa Road. An electric motorcycle rider had been hit by a speeding car. I arrived moments after the collision. Although I was too late to prevent it, together with other good Samaritans we helped the injured rider and rushed him to the hospital. The incident stayed with me the whole day. It reminded me how quickly life can change on our roads. To all electric motorcycle riders, please ride with extra caution. Some helmets have built-in earphones, and if you're listening to music or talking through them, you may not hear a horn, a warning, or an approaching vehicle—especially on busy highways. Road safety is everyone's responsibility. Drivers, riders, cyclists, and pedestrians all need to look out for one another. Slow down, stay alert, avoid distractions, and remember that every person on the road is someone's loved one. Let's protect each other. One careful decision can save a life. 🚦🛵❤️

Back where it all started 🧡 16 years ago as a freshman at FLORIDA, I walked into the @ESPNGainesville studios and asked if there were any jobs on the radio. Steve Russell (in the first pic) was kind enough to give me a shot. Today I got to sit next to him again to do what we did so many times while I was in college: talk ball. Years full of hard work, failure, a little success, smiles, tears and lots of lessons learned have gone by but one thing remains the same: I’m extremely grateful for the people who formed the foundation of my career and the place (FLORIDAJSchool) where it happened. What a joy it was to spend time with the future of our business today. You are all stars and I’m proud to call you fellow gators. Your eagerness, dedication and curiosity is a reminder of how lucky we are to talk about sports for a living. It was an honor to spend some time on the campus that built me.

We spend endless hours debating the future, drafting strategies, and discussing values, while too often neglecting the simple things that make a society work: attention, responsibility, order, and basic civic trust. Europe needs to regain its sense of direction. It really does.

I can feel it in my chest like a pressure change. The trees are getting lighter. The ground is different underfoot. We are not there yet but brother we are close enough to smell it. "Goth kids shouldn't be raising a baby." That's what a teacher told us when Jack and I shared our plans. We were teenagers. Black clothes, loud music, eyeliner, big feelings. To some people, that meant we couldn't possibly be ready to love a child. But love doesn't come with a dress code. While everyone else was planning concerts and late nights, I kept reading stories about kids growing up in the system — especially children with Down syndrome who were labeled "hard to place." That phrase haunted me. Hard to place? Or just waiting for the right arms? The day we walked into the adoption center, they handed us a thin folder. "Needs extra support." "Developmental delays." "May be challenging." So many warnings. So little hope written between the lines. Then they brought him in Noah was small and quiet, sitting there like he was studying the whole world at once. He didn't cry. Didn't fuss. Just looked at us with wide, thoughtful eyes. And in that moment, everything felt clear. We didn't see "hard to place." We saw our son. We said yes. We grew up fast after that. Therapy appointments replaced hangouts. School meetings replaced sleep-ins. We learned medical terms, sign language basics, patience we didn't know we had, and a kind of love that reshapes your whole soul. Were we scared sometimes? Absolutely. Were we tired? Constantly. But we never doubted our yes. We showed up. Every appointment. Every IEP meeting. Every milestone — big or small. We cheered for first words, first steps, first time he wrote his name. And today... Today Noah walked across a stage, diploma in hand, smiling that same deep, thoughtful smile - only bigger now, brighter, proud. People once saw two goth teens and shook their heads. Now they see two parents standing, crying, clapping the loudest in the room. We were goth kids back then. We're his goth parents now. And our "hard to place" boy? He just graduated.
