So there’s no chance I’ll get my feeling back in my legs. And, I’ve got some ongoing heart failure, which is making it difficult to breathe sometimes during the day. But at the moment I can breathe and I’m not in any pain. However, you should prepare yourself that January will be a probably a month of transition one way or the other. Now, I haven’t made any decisions, but it was all bad news, no good news at all. So I will keep doing this as long as it makes sense because I like doing it.”

This news is really heartbreaking. I keep thinking about when he shared that in his family, no one has ever passed the age of 45 and it’s such a painful reality to carry. Hearing now that his brother has also passed just a few days ago makes it even heavier. My heart goes out to him and his entire family during this difficult time. I pray God gives them strength, comfort, and peace, and may his brother’s soul rest in perfect peace.

Scott is a mutual of mine with a fantastic following, a great body of work, and he had a very notable awakening the past few years. He says he’s kept his diagnosis hidden because he knew people online would be cruel. Keep this in mind while you rejoice over other’s cancer diagnoses. Pray for Scott.

He comes in with a smile...the way he's reacted and responds to this will not only carry the rest of his basketball career, but his demeanor will carry him the rest of his life well because he's been incredible.
