Bullcrap. Correction doesn't break a person down if it's done right, and reality dictates that it's not always going to be done right. Stop playing into victim mentality! Learn to roll with life's punches and you will grow to be strong, capable, intelligent, and wise. Then stupid little X posts meant to keep you in victim mode will have no power over you.

@SoulProvocateur No this is totally wrong. The best results are usually a combination of criticism and positive reinforcement

I believe some people are misunderstanding what the video is trying to convey. I don’t think what the video is saying in essence is that correction is bad rather it’s saying that over correction is bad. I have nothing against correcting a child but you can actually correct a child with love. Not always just scolding or shouting on the child. There’re parents that will always shout on their kids calling them names like idiot, fool, you lazy boy, etc. some parents do not know how to correct their kids. Instead of always scolding and shouting or trying to tell the kid everytime that he/she is doing the wrong thing every time, try sitting your kid down to have a convo with them. Start by encouraging them on the things they did right so it will open them up for you to truly understand why they did wrong and then you can correct the child appropriately.

Victim mentality right there. It's actually quite the opposite. Non correction leads to poor decision making, ignorance, anxiety, ADHD (aka lack of focus), insecurities, learning disabilities and a plethora of other issues all of which were cited as a part of being corrected which is ironic cuz that is incorrect. Totally irresponsible of a parent especially to just allow their child to grow up without correction.

@SoulProvocateur What do you do when the self correction never happens? This is so grossly oversimplified that it fails to have any meaning at all.

@SoulProvocateur People will believe anything they hear. Absolutely zero critical thinking. Was George Washington corrected as a child? If you don't correct your children they become just another degenerate idiot. Don't correct your kids if you want to raise a lazy piece of shit.

This is stupid lol I think soon most people will learn how useless the whole field of psychology has been. It’s like sayin you need a degree to know how to walk and breathe. The need to psycho analyze everything is also very depressing. A lot of things can be overwhelming. Wisdom from heaven teaches us to not be over bearing but to not be scared to discipline your kids. It’s a balance ok. You need to correct and those who hate to be corrected are always a fucking problem in society. Always. Wisdom from above says that to hate correction is foolish and you are a scoffer, a no good complainer. It’s almost like this video doesn’t care about the consequences of people who hate to be corrected and what this leads to in society which is what we are experiencing from the Marxists and trans communities. They are cry babies who cry about proper disciplines and way of living. They hate the traditional family unit and promote broken homes. At some point people need to grow the fuck up and stop crying and do the right thing. Stop listening to stupid things like in this video. Reality checks are a must. I grew up hearing you better check yourself or wreck yourself.

That depends. For example, if you have a teen that has chores and they do it wrong consistently and youre always pointing it out because it keeps on happening. Thats not over correcting. These is a fine line between wanting things done right and over correcting. I see this almost daily. If you have to be told 365 days a year that you need to clean the sink after you finish doing dishes and it bothers you that you have to be told every day, maybe listen and take the critique and follow through. We dont see a lot of this in society and we see the negative results.

Yet another blame others for your own faults and problems. There might be some good statements in there, but the video as a whole is bullshit. Take responsibility, do your job, get over yourself, you mean nothing in this world until you make it happen. At a job you will be corrected and you will be controlled, it's called a job for a reason. Get one you like and are happy at and move on. In life you will be corrected but not controlled. Take the lessons for what they are worth and move on. In marriage and relationships, you will be corrected and you will be controlled and you will control. To be responsible of something means you have to have some control and do that had things front happen you will correct both them and yourself. If something goes wrong 99.9% of the time you can circle back through your own decisions and find that you yourself is to blame for almost all of it. Once you stop blaming everyone else for your problems, life becomes easier to manage. Good luck

There's a difference between custom criticism and correcting. Correction is the perfect form of teaching. Correction is needed when your child is getting it wrong or going down the wrong path. Criticism means that nothing is, in fact, wrong, but since you don't like it, you want to say something negative about it; that's the difference.

That’s a great case of why young black males feel like the worlds is against them when every person in a leadership position that looks like them tells them that they are victims and that the world against them. It’s the Democrat message and if you go to any inner city area that has a large black population and you listen to their leaders, they’re gonna push the same BS.

My ex used this argument against me. She is retarded and needed constant help and correction. She’d ask 20 questions and manipulate me into doing everything for her. Then turn around and tell friends and family I was controlling… when all I was doing was caring for a retard. So yes this is true but some people need micro management and it’s not controlling it’s exhausting.

Some of this is true. Other portions of it are somewhat ridiculous.. there’s ways to correct things. If someone is doing a slew of things wrong, it’s better to give them the necessary knowledge on how to proceed forward correctly than just not saying anything under the guise of “I corrected them twice today already. Anymore will be bad.” Lmao.

Amen that reminds me of Colossians 3:21 “Fathers, do not provoke or irritate or exasperate your children [with demands that are trivial or unreasonable or humiliating or abusive; nor by favoritism or indifference; treat them tenderly with lovingkindness], so they will not lose heart and become discouraged or unmotivated [with their spirits broken].”

Obviously ANYTHING can be taken to an unhealthy extreme I.e. too much criticism, or just being SO passive “laissez-faire” that you don’t correct your kids at all…neither is a good option. Common sense, good judgment, long suffering & love and patience dispensed with firm guidance. But this video sounds like a total copt-out to me

This is so true and a major reason why people have left the churches as false leadership pursues perfecting the habits of the flesh in their followers to form a witness for themselves, which standard, they cannot fulfill themselves. That's why God's starting point is the living knowledge of Jesus's covenant prepared through stewardship, which equips the believer to choose life in Christ, wherein the fruits of their labor of faith honor God. s8w .org
