Sajid Javid reckons MPs aren't getting paid enough as it is, and suggests their pay is DOUBLED

I think they should be paid more. Double sounds right. But no second jobs. No offshore financial dealings. No donors or sponsors. Not allowed to be landlords. Teach them to work for the people.

Really! The average pay for a senior nurse is £41,651 pa head teacher average is £67,263 the average pay for accountant is £42,500. How would becoming an MP result in a drop in lifestyle @sajidjavid especially as I haven’t included your expenses and 2nd job consultancy fees?

What utter rubbish when they have unlimited expense claims,the backhanders, gold plated inflation proof pensions, subsidised food/drink/rent & bills paid - no-one becoming a politician takes a fall in living standards.

£86,000 to run the United Kingdom does seem a bit low

Politicians wages should be tied to the average wage of the country. When they do their job well for the public they can be rewarded. Also 2nd jobs should be banned, no other sector would pay u £88k and let u work side jobs, focus should be on their MP role.

No mention of banning 2nd jobs though eh Sajid. 🤔 Heavens forbid that stopping you also earning your £25,000 a month for 8-10 hours work…
