Absolutely! I have had the unique honour of sitting next to him on a Jet Airways flight from Mumbai to Jaipur( he was attending a Board meeting). Charming as ever, I asked him if I could shake hands with him, which he did with a smile and twinkle in his eye!

What a great legendary soldier was Felid Marshal Manekshaw. But despite his best deliberation of his duty his pension & all of his post retirement benefits were put on hold by Indira Gandhi but he never bowed down to her for the same.This is how Gandhi’s treat their soldiers🙏🌹

Sam Manekshaw a great fighter & true patriot. Unfortunately he was mistreated by Indira Gandhi.

@yarunrao I fought the war under him and his talks to troops motivated them is beauty of India and Hindu religion that a Parsi is our national hero.Muslims and Jews also arose to high ranks in Indian armed forces.
