Booker: Okay, but this is the thing that really bothers me. He’s telling me, “I am concerned about Ghislaine Maxwell’s safety.” But I am not even going to meet with the victims to get them the justice they deserve. It is so profoundly offensive that you would bend over backward and break DOJ and Bureau of Prisons policy, you’re saying, for the safety of a sex offender. But you care nothing about the women whose pictures, phone numbers, addresses, and privacy you violated. It is so offensive and disqualifying for this man to have sat there today and said that to me.

Thank you, America, and thank you to everyone who refuses to take their blessings and their Freedom for granted. - I am thankful for America. This country gave me a place to start over. It gave me a home and a future. - I am thankful for Freedom. Not everyone gets to wake up and speak their truth without fear. - I am thankful for the courage to stand up for what is right. There were days it was scary and painful, but it taught me who I am. - I am thankful for the supporters and friends who never left my side. Your love carried me through the darkest times. - I am thankful for chosen family. People who become family with their kindness and loyalty when blood family is far away. - I am thankful for hope because hope is what keeps us alive when everything feels impossible. - I am thankful for faith and strength that remind me that no matter how hard the journey gets, giving up is not an option. - And I am thankful for all the brave people around the world who continue to fight for freedom, even when the world is not watching. Happy #Thanksgiving. Hug the people you love and tell them how much they mean to you. 🦃❤️🇺🇸

Below is the statement by Halima Ismail, the former electoral commissioner of Somalia, following her departure from the Heritage conference today. “Yes, it's true that I did leave the conference when the prime minister took the stage. My instincts wouldn’t allow me to listen to someone in a position of prime minister who had not only threatened my life but had also stated, "I will shoot you in the head if you come to Kismayo." How could I sit there, applaud, and wait for someone who has made such a statement? My heart simply cannot accept that. I am not suffering from Stockholm Syndrome; I am a Somali woman dedicated to the interests of my fellow Somalis. Here is a man—confident and proud—who feels no hesitation in declaring that he would kill me, yet stands before me expecting my attention. That does not sit well with me, and he is unworthy of being the prime minister. [Interruptions by the journalists]: Commissioner, did he apologise to you about that? No, I have not received any satisfactory apology. “

Ruchika Singh who abused PM Modi is now crying. She said "I am apologizing to the entire country. I am so ashamed that I cannot even lift my eyes. I am asking for forgiveness from everyone, please forgive me, please. This is my first and last mistake. After this, I will never do anything like that, nor will I ever post such a thing again" I hope Students have realised that, these leaders will come, ignite you and go and won't care about your future. It's you only who are responsible for your deeds.

“Lips in the Zipped Jacket” He said, “I have been hurt before and don’t trust easily. But there’s something about you that I can’t seem to ignore. Who are you, and where did you come from suddenly?” It’s like you just appeared in front of me and left me confused and dazed at the same time. May I ask your name? She said, “No need to tell you who I am, because my heart belongs to someone special.” He said, “Are you married?” She said, “No, but I am emotionally unavailable to give you anything because the heart that beats in my chest belongs to someone else.” He asked her, “And does this someone else feel the same way about you?” She paused and answered, “That’s private information I am unwilling to divulge. But all I know is that I wake up thinking about him and go to sleep thinking about him. Sometimes I see myself cuddling with him, and when I’m alone I feel his spirit near me.” He said, “That sounds like infatuated love.” She said, “Infatuated love is conditional, and it fades when the feeling is only temporary. But my heart has settled comfortably with this love.” He said, “Allow me to love you and show you real love.” She said, “There’s no such thing as real love. Like beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, love can only be felt in the chest, that it beats. And sometimes you just don’t know why it beats the way it does.” He said, “If this is true, then give me a chance and let me love you. And all you have to do is wake up every day to be loved.” She said, “I am already loved.” He asked, “Who is this man who has captured your heart?” She said, “My heart belongs to the one who likes to hide his lips in his zipped jacket.” He said, “He is surely blessed.” She said, “No… maybe I am the blessed one.” He said, “No, trust me. He is blessed to have a loyal woman.” Song written by: Lily C. Alphonsis, PhD Video credit: Incomparable Lily
