One year ago, on September 6th, Charlie was asked to come on stage in Seoul, South Korea, where thousands of Korean Christians prayed over him and thanked the Lord for his life and his work. Then, together, they sang “How Great Is Our God.” I’ll never forget watching Charlie take it all in. For someone who spent so much of his life speaking to massive crowds, this moment was different. He wasn’t there to give a speech or make a political argument. He was simply standing among thousands of fellow believers, worshiping the Lord. Afterward, on our way to the airport, Charlie looked at me and said, “Wow, that was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.” I think about those words a lot now. Halfway around the world, surrounded by thousands of people worshiping in a different language, Charlie still knew the song. Different country, different language, different culture, but the same words, the same faith, and the same God.

Some of you have taken fan rivalry so far that you’d rather celebrate another country’s artist just to discredit your own Ghanaian brother. 🤦🏾‍♂️🇬🇭 Young Jonn is Nigerian and deserves his flowers for his Wembley show. Nobody is taking that away from him. 👏🏾🇳🇬 But why does his success suddenly become a weapon to attack Stonebwoy? Stonebwoy made history as the first Ghanaian artist to headline OVO Arena Wembley. He didn’t inherit that moment he built toward it. BHIM Fest is his own brand, his own platform, and his own vision. If your entire argument is “they covered some seats,” then bring the actual verified attendance figures. Don’t turn venue configuration into a social media mathematics competition and then announce yourselves as the official auditors of Wembley. And the funniest part? Some of you are so desperate to win a fan war that you have forgotten the bigger picture: when a Ghanaian artist breaks another barrier internationally, Ghana should be proud. Jan Valta and Adam Sporka created incredible music for KCD2 video game, and there's one detail in particular I've been wanting to share for a year now, given how amazing the music is in narrative sound design. I recognized the Hussite song in certain locations, specifically those resisting Sigismund's rule: Semine, Suchdol, and Raborsch, each with a different instrument but the same theme. When I first played KCD2 and heard this music in Semine, I immediately recognized it, being a fan of Czech history. I already suspected that the lord of Semine was plotting against Lord Otto von Bergow. This theme behind the music, the Hussite song, echoes the events 20 years later with the Hussite Wars, a religious war and crusade waged in Bohemia by King Sigismund of Luxembourg. My opinion is that the difference in instruments in these pieces of music with the same theme is to distinguish the settings. Semine is in the Bohemian paradise with more choral music, Raborsch is an isolated estate with agriculture with solo guitar music, and finally Suchdol is an impressive fortress with a military aspect to the music. I just did the montage with the musics of these locations :

🦊 after the tour announcement came out yesterday, i took a look at moa’s reactions and there were a lot of moas who were disappointed and upset 🦊 you might think that we’re going for the same vibe, the same production and the same setlist but we received the setlist in a meeting recently and it’s different. it’s different and…there’s a variety of things prepared. 🦊 so you don’t have to think that it’s the exact same, for real 🦊 as people that are performing, me and the members honestly also want to do it differently. even as the performers, we want to do the performances in a new way and show you different sides of ourselves. 🦊 when we first heard of it, we were like “won’t it be the same?” but it’s very different 🦊 it’s very different and you don’t need to worry

When people argue about which rapper understood business first, his name comes up before anybody else's. So I pulled Illmatic on the government's copyright register. It's free. Anyone can do it. Registration SR0000207177, filed June 28, 1994. The claimant line reads: Sony Music Entertainment, Inc. (employer for hire). That's the most revered album in the genre, and on the federal record it's registered as work made for hire. It Was Written, two years later, SR0000220016. Same phrase. Sony Music Entertainment, Inc., employer for hire. Then something changes. Stillmatic, 2002, SR0000305698. Claimant is still Sony. But the words "employer for hire" are gone. Same label, same artist, 8 years apart, and the authorship language is different. Nobody explains that in a documentary. Now the part I didn't expect. Pull the song instead of the recording. It Ain't Hard To Tell, the track that closes Illmatic. Registration PA0000921815. The claimants are Zomba Enterprises, Skematics Music, and Ill Will Music, Inc. That's his. Named for his friend Willy Graham. So the same album sits in two different places in the same government database with two different answers. Sony holds the recording as employer for hire. His own company is a named claimant on the song underneath it. A master is the recording. A composition is the song inside it. It Ain't Hard To Tell, the track that closes Illmatic. Registration PA0000921815. The claimants are Zomba Enterprises, Skematics Music, and Ill Will Music, Inc. That's his. Named for his friend Willy Graham. So the same album sits in two different places in the same government database with two different answers. Sony holds the recording as employer for hire. His own company is a named claimant on the song underneath it. A master is the recording. A composition is the song inside it.
